¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Solía escribir un montón de nombres diferentes durante los años, pero me cambié a BOKIS porque me gustaba y es un apodo de mi apellido que mis amigos me han llamado desde que era joven. Realmente no significa nada pero significa mucho para mí.
I used to write a lot of different names during the years but i change it to BOKIS because it felt right and its a nickname on my last name that my friends have called me since i was Young. It doesn’t really mean and thing but it means a lot to me.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Siempre he creado cosas y dibujado. Cuando era joven pasaba mucho tiempo en casa de mi abuela, que era artista, y pintábamos mucho juntos y leíamos libros de Picasso, así que fue un buen punto de partida.
Me topé con el graffiti a través del skateboarding y conocí a escritores allí y esto fue alrededor de 1997. Me inspiré mucho en un chico que pintaba mucho en los alrededores de dónde crecía y que escribía en polar y hacía piezas muy buenas a una edad muy temprana.
I have always creating stuff and drawing. When i was Young i spent a lot of time at my grandmas house and she was an artist and we Painted a lot together and looked in books by Picasso so that was a good starting point!
I stumbled in on graffiti tru skateboarding and met writers there and this was around 1997. I got heavily inspired by a Guy that painted a lot around where i was growing up and he wrote polar and he did super good pieces at a really young age.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Me gusta que me siga haciendo sonreír después de todos estos años y que me quite todo el estrés y todos los problemas de la vida normal. Conecta a personas que de otro modo nunca se habrían conocido. Lo malo es que cuesta dinero.
I like that it still makes me smile after all these years and it takes away all the stress and all problems in the regular life. That it Connects people that never had met otherwise. The downside i think is that it cost money.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza fue en una sitio local famoso cerca, robé botes de sprays de mi garaje. Rost stop rojo y carlofon negro, pinté las letras PRN y fue alrededor de 1997. las letras eran tan simples y nada era tan fácil como pensaba.
Recuerdo la sensación y era pura magia. Echo mucho de menos esa sensación, pero es como todo lo que se hace la primera vez.
My first piece was on a local fame close to where i green up and i stole 2 spray fans out of my dass garage. Rost stop red and carlofon black , i wrote the letters PRN and it was around 1997 .the letters was so simple and nothing was as easy as i thought.
I remember the feeling and it was pure magic. I really miss that feeling but its like with everything you do the first time.
