¿Por qué tu tag es ChinoGraff?
Why is your tag ChinoGraff?
Realmente no empece como escritor de grafittis con este tag, como todos creo yo fui probando primero palabras que sonasen bien palabras con K, S… letras que tenían más fuerza, pero desde pequeño mi apodo siempre ha sido Chino por tener los ojos rasgados… despues de varios años como escritor y con diferentes tags me conocían más por Chino que por mi nombre de escritor, asi que decidí cambiarlo definitivamente por Chino posteriormente el añadí el Graff ya que chino es una firma demasiado habitual y por darle un toque más no personal.
I didn’t really begin like a graffiti writer with this tag, I was trying words like K, S … letters that had more strength, but from my nickname has always been Chino for having slanted eyes … after several years as a writer and with different tags I was known more by Chino than by my name of writer, so I decided to change it definitively Chino later I added Graff because Chino is a signature too common and to give a personal style.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Realmente no decidí ser escritor de Graffiti yo creo que eso más bien te encuentra a ti, Siempre he dibujado en el instituto en casa, etc… cuando iba al instituto empece a escuchar Rap y a conocer gente que le gustaba más esta cultura que yo desconocía un poco ya que en mi ciudad estamos bastante atrasados en cuanto a esta cultura respecta.
A medida que me iba llegando más información en revistas de esta cultura descubrí el Graffiti me encantaba ver cómo eran capaz de llevar letras o caracteres a otro nivel mucho mayor y en la calle donde todo el mundo puede verlo, yo creo que eso fue lo que me motivó el poder compartir de una manera u otra tu arte con todo el mundo.
I didn’t really decide to be a Graffiti writer, I think that’s more like a personal thing, I’ve always drawn in high school at home, etc… When I went to high school I started to listen Rap and I meet people who liked this culture better than I didn’t know a bit because in my city we’re quite a bit behind when it comes to this culture.
As I got more information in magazines of this culture I discovered Graffiti I loved to see how they were able to take letters or characters to another level much higher and on the street where everyone can see it, I think that was what motivated me to share in one way or another your art with everyone.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Mi Graffiti no tiene un mensaje cerrado, no siempre hablo de amor, critica o cosas así, depende del momento en el que me encuentre emocionalmente, el lugar en el que pinte, la ciudad… puede ser un tipo de ilustración u otra
Intento ser un escritor versátil.
Si es verdad que siempre intentas sacar una emoción de la persona que pase por delante de un muro y vea tú obra, sea cual sea creo que es importante que cuando la gente lo vea arranque una sonrisa o una crítica interna o algo así, pero creo que no estoy encasillado en una ideología con mi obra.
Quizás con el tiempo evoluciona a algo así pero de momento simplemente intento que pinte lo que pinte la gente disfrute al verlo.
My Graffiti doesn’t have a closed message, I don’t always talk about love, criticism or things like that, it depends on when I am emotionally, the place I paint, the city… it can be a kind of illustration or another I try to be a versatile writer.If it’s true that you always try to get an emotion out of the person who walks past a wall and sees your work, whatever it is I think it’s important that when people see it they start smiling or an internal critique or something like that, but I don’t think I’m stuck in an ideology with my work.
Maybe over time it evolves into something like that but for now I’m just trying to get people to paint what they’re painting and enjoy seeing it.

What is your style?
Como decía antes intento ser un escritor versátil, ahora estoy más centrado en el realismo por que en esta época de mi vida es lo que me apetece pintar, pero anteriormente he pintado new school o letras.
As I said before I try to be a versatile writer, now I am more focused on realism because in this time of my life is what I want to paint, but previously I have painted new school or letters.

Me hace muchísima ilusión, es una manera de reconocer el trabajo de años y más en una ciudad como la mía que por desgracia hay poco Graffiti. Sinceramente estoy encantado de que se hayan interesado por mi y por mi obra.

¿Recuerdas la primera pieza?
Do you remember first piece?
La primera pieza fue toda una aventura, fui con una amigo al canal que hay debajo de mi casa llevábamos planeándola varios días y como en esa época no teníamos información sobre el Graffiti pensábamos que primero se marcaba con tiza y todos los días íbamos a marcar algo hasta que juntamos dinero para comprar nuestros primero sprays de los chinos. Nos compramos 2 cada uno m, un verde y un negro para el trazo, los metimos en la mochila y nos dirigimos a pintar, íbamos corriendo campo a través de la emoción de hacer nuestra primera pieza y mi amigo tropezó con un alambre y se cayó de cabeza y yo detrás. Una vez llegamos al muro que estaba lleno de humedad y musgo empezamos a pintar y se nos acabó la pintura en la primera letra no sabíamos nada de que había que fondear primero la pared eso fue por el 2002 o cosa así aún así nos fuimos contentísimos para casa llenos de emoción, con respecto a esa primera pieza mi Graffiti ha evolucionado mucho ahora apenas pinto letras y llevo las cosas mejor preparadas que en esa época.
The first piece was quite an adventure, I went with a friend to the channel below my house we had been planning several days and as at that time we had no information about Graffiti we thought that first was marked with chalk and every day we were going to mark something until we collected money to buy our first sprays from the Chinese shop. We bought 2 each m, a green and a black for the stroke, we put them in the backpack and went to paint, we were running through the emotion of making our first piece and my friend stumbled on a wire and fell head first and me behind. Once we got to the wall that was full of moisture and moss we began to paint and we finished the painting in the first letter we did not know anything that had to anchor the wall first that was in 2002 or so even so we were happy for home full of emotion, with respect to that first piece my Graffiti has evolved a lot now as soon as I paint letters and I take things better prepared than at that time.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?
What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?
La libertad que te da un muro, la calle, el provocar emociones…
El estar frente a un muro con tu música, amigos es algo que no se puede explicar, el reto de enfrentarte a la proporción, el hacer de un lugar que está estropeado algo increíble, no sé son un cúmulo de sensaciones que sólo las tengo cuando pinto Graffiti creo que la palabra correcta para definirlo es Libertad.
The freedom that a wall gives you, the street, provoking emotions … Being in front of a wall with your music, friends is something that can not be explained, the challenge of facing proportion, making a place that is spoiled something incredible, I do not know are an accumulation of sensations that I only have when I paint Graffiti I think the right word to define it is Freedom.
