Where does your pseudonym come from?
Además de ser un juego de palabras con mi apellido, Trads. Creo que la palabra refleja un punto importante para mí.

In addition to being a play on my last name, Trads. I believe the word reflects an important point for me.
Contrasts are opposites, and opposites can highlight each other. It is crucial technically to be able to use contrasts when painting. However, I also see a fine symbolism in embracing and highlighting our own unique characteristics and accommodating each other’s differences.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Siempre he utilizado la música y el arte para expresarme, y a menudo era la persona a la que recurrían en clase para crear carteles cuando estaba en el colegio. Creo que una parte importante de mi pasión por la pintura se debe a mi tía. Durante mi infancia, cuando se ocupaba de mí, siempre tenía una gran variedad de herramientas para pintar y dibujar. He pasado muchas tardes en casa de mi tía dibujando hasta la hora de acostarme. Quizá también por eso guardo un cariño especial al aroma de los lápices nuevos.
A mediados de 2020, conseguí una plaza de estudio en North Urban Art Studio, compartiendo el espacio con otros artistas de talento. Fue durante este tiempo cuando Project Nada me convenció para explorar la pintura en spray. Después de unirme a ella en un festival de arte callejero en Suecia, me convencí por completo de que seguir el camino creativo era la elección correcta para mí.
I have always used music and art to express myself, often being the go-to person in class for creating posters when I was in School. A significant part of my passion for painting can be traced back to my aunt, I think. During my childhood, whenever she looked after me, she always had a variety of painting and drawing tools. I’ve spent many evenings at my aunt’s place drawing until bedtime. Perhaps this is also why I hold a special affection for the aroma of new pencils.
In mid 2020, I secured a studio spot at North Urban Art Studio, sharing the space with other talented artists. It was during this time that Project Nada persuaded me to explore spray-painting. After joining her at a street art festival in Sweden, I was completely convinced that pursuing the creative path was the right choice for me.

What is your style?
Diría que se me puede etiquetar como pintora figurativa con elementos abstractos y surrealistas. Actualmente estoy experimentando mucho con la creación de efectos de doble capa y cómo puedo crear profundidad y nuevas dimensiones en mis obras.
I would say you can label me as a figurative painter with abstract and surrealistic elements. Currently, I’m experimenting a lot with creating double layer effects and how I can create depth and new dimensions into my pieces.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Uno de mis primeros murales «en solitario» fue en un centro juvenil en febrero de 2021, así que en realidad ha pasado relativamente poco tiempo. Por aquel entonces, me estaba iniciando en la pintura en aerosol, y recuerdo haber tenido problemas con la mezcla de colores, el control de la lata, y también no saber mucho acerca de las diferentes boquillas. Pero me encantan los retos, así que seguí adelante, me divertí y acepté mis errores. Mucho ha cambiado desde entonces. Ahora dedico menos tiempo y pintura a mis piezas, y he mejorado en su construcción. Ha sido un viaje genial hasta ahora, y me siento mucho más segura y fluida en mi proceso de pintura. Estoy deseando que llegue este año. Tengo muchos proyectos interesantes y de mayor envergadura por delante.
One of my first «solo» murals was at a youth center in February 2021, so it’s actually only been a relatively short time. Back then, I was just getting into spray paint, and I remember struggling with blending colors, can control, and also not knowing much about different caps. But I love a challenge, so I kept at it, had fun, and embraced my mistakes. A lot has changed since then. Now, I spend less time and paint on my pieces, and I’ve become better at building them up. It’s been a cool journey so far, and I feel way more confident and smooth in my painting process. I look so much forward to this year. I have a lot of cool, bigger projects to come.

Creo que terminaré con un consejo cursi pero muy genuino para otras almas creativas.
Recordad que está bien lanzarse a lo desconocido, aprender por el camino y, lo más importante, divertirse con el proceso. Encuentren almas extravagantes con las que compartir el viaje, porque cuando nos apoyamos mutuamente, todo se vuelve aún más colorido y aventurero. Y, sobre todo, no tengas miedo de hacerlo a tu manera, la que tenga más sentido para ti. Coge el pincel (o el bote de spray) y pinta el mundo a tu manera.
I think I’ll wrap up with a cheesy but very genuine piece of advice for other creative souls.
Remember, it’s okay to dive into the unknown, learn along the way, and most importantly, have fun with the process. Find some quirky souls to share the journey with, because when we support each other, the whole thing becomes even more colorful and adventurous. And, above all, don’t be afraid to do it your own way – the way that makes the most sense for you. Grab that paintbrush (or spray can) and paint the world in your own style.
