¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Simplemente me gustaban las letras. El nombre no me pega nada en la vida real.

I just liked the letters. The name certainly doesn’t really suit me in real life!.

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Cuando empecé en 1987, mucha gente que conocía hacía graffiti. Me gustaba el hip-hop desde 1983, así que el graffiti me pareció una progresión muy natural. También me gustaba la aventura de salir por la noche a lugares peligrosos y que la gente viera mi nombre.

When I started back in 1987 loads of people I knew were tagging. I’d been into Hip-Hop since 1983 so graffiti seemed like a very natural progression to me. I also liked the adventure of going out late at night to dangerous places and people seeing my name up.

What is your style?

Caricatura urbana con una pizca de Hip-Hop de ciencia ficción. Mezclo cómic y Hip-Hop.

Urban cartooning with a dash of science fiction Hip-Hop. I mix comics and Hip-Hop.

Me parece bien cualquiera que promueva mi trabajo y la escena del graffiti en general.

I’m fine with anyone who promotes my work and the graffiti scene in general.

Do you remember the first piece?

No hice una pieza completa durante mucho tiempo. Hacía tags y throw ups porque fui bombardera durante años. Cuando empecé a hacer piezas hice mi nombre. Hoy en día prácticamente nunca pinto mi nombre, siempre pinto personajes. Represento al HEAVY REIGN CREW con NEYEC, IZER, KIZMO y TRANS1 y soy uno de los artistas que pinta personajes de la crew.

I didn’t do a full piece for a long time. I’d do tags and throw ups because I was a bomber for years. When I started piecing I did my name. Nowadays I virtually never paint my name, I always paint characters. I rep the HEAVY REIGN CREW with NEYEC, IZER, KIZMO and TRANS1and I’m one of the character artists in the crew.
