¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi tag viene porque la D era una letra que me gustaba mucho a la hora de hacer letras y, pensando en uno de mis escritores favoritos, Dare, se me ocurrió Dave. Lo vi claro.
My tag came about because D was a letter I really liked when it came to lettering and, thinking of one of my favourite writers, Dare, Dave came to mind. It was clear to me.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started?
Me motivó ver a la peña pintando en mi ciudad y en pueblos de los alrededores, como Granollers, Parets y Mollet. Escritores como Caos, Roe, Poseidón y Rostro… Flipaba con los muros que veía de ellos en Mollet, y me paseaba por la riera de Granollers para ver cómo pintaban. Iba con mi hermano y con Zombe, y allí empezó todo. Tenía que pintar y llegar a hacer muros como los que ellos hacían.
I was motivated by seeing people painting in my city and in the surrounding towns, such as Granollers, Parets and Mollet. Writers like Caos, Roe, Poseidon and Rostro… I was amazed by the walls I saw of them in Mollet, and I used to walk along the river in Granollers to see how they painted. I would go with my brother and Zombe, and that’s where it all started. I had to paint and get to make walls like the ones they did.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Lo que más me gusta del graffiti es el momento. Cuando pinto, estoy tan centrado en ello que no existe nada más; me olvido de todo. Solo estamos el muro y yo. Ahora, con mis hermanos de Q3 Crew, montamos muros grandes en los cuales he de separarme un poquito más para comentarlo y conjuntarlo todo, lo cual, la verdad, ya me va bien jajajaja. Hoy en día, con las redes sociales, ver que la gente comparte tus piezas, mola.
Y lo que menos me gusta es lo difícil que es encontrar lugares legales para pintar de tranquis, y lo que cuesta que te den un permiso para un muro o poder organizar algún evento sin que te pongan trabas. Además, la gente cree que porque pintas graffiti por gusto, vas a pintarle el patio de su casa de gratis. Total, si en la calle lo haces gratis, ¿por qué en mi casa no? Vaya tela!.
What I like most about graffiti is the moment. When I paint, I’m so focused on it that nothing else exists; I forget about everything. It’s just me and the wall. Now, with my brothers from Q3 Crew, we do big walls where I have to separate myself a bit more to comment on it and put it all together, which, to tell you the truth, is good for me hahahaha. Nowadays, with social networks, it’s cool to see that people share your pieces.
And what I like the least is how difficult it is to find legal places to paint in peace, and how hard it is to get an legal access for a wall or to organise an event without being hindered. Besides, people think that because you paint graffiti for fun, you’re going to paint their backyard for free. So, if you do it for free in the street, why not in my house? What a mess.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
La primera pieza, jajaja, fue un desastre. Pequeña, trazo tembloroso y pintando con latas Felton de 200 ml y poniendo «Fun» en la pared de un solar allí en Canovelles, donde me crié. Me acuerdo de los colores: el relleno era amarillo y el contorno, verde oscuro. La hice en una tarde que ya era prácticamente de noche. Vamos, aquello hoy en día sería un throwup, pero para mí, por aquel entonces, era una obra de arte, jajaja.
Hoy en día, mi estilo en letras es Wildstyle. Siempre he tirado hacia ese estilo, me flipa, pero últimamente estoy haciendo más personajes que letras y tiro hacia un estilo realista.
The first piece, hahaha, was a disaster. Small, shaky lines and painting with 200 ml Felton cans and putting ‘Fun’ on the wall of a plot of land in Canovelles, where I grew up. I remember the colours: the filling was yellow and the outline, dark green. I made it in an afternoon when it was almost dark. Nowadays that would be a throwup, but for me, back then, it was a work of art, hahaha.
Nowadays, my style in letters is Wildstyle. I’ve always been into that style, I love it, but lately I’m doing more characters than letters and I’m moving towards a realistic style.

Pues, ¿qué voy a decir? A las nuevas generaciones y a los de siempre: ¡Seguid pintando y disfrutando de lo que más os gusta! ¡Nos vemos en los muros!.
