Where does your pseudonyme come from?
Había elegido las letras que me gustaban dibujar y después de algunas pruebas salió Deko!
I had chosen the letters that I liked to draw and after some tests Deko came out!
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Desde niño siempre me ha gustado dibujar y cuando caminaba por mi ciudad (Cremona) recuerdo que siempre trataba de entender lo que ponía en las firmas y bombing… Luego conocí la cultura del hip hop y ¡bum! Mezclé todas las vibraciones de las calles y el sistema estéreo y traduje todo a través del graffiti.
Since I was a child I have always loved drawing and when I walked in my city (Cremona) I remember that I was always trying to understand the tags and throw up… Then I got to know hip hop culture and boom! I mixed all the vibes from the streets and the stereo system and translated everything through graffiti.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus obras?
What do you try to say with your artworks?
Intento expresar el dinamismo con formas y las emociones con combinaciones de colores. ¡Es una expresión egoísta de lo que siento por dentro!
I try to express dynamism with shapes and emotions with color combinations. It’s just a selfish expression of what I feel inside!
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Me encantan las letras, las formas sólidas, los colores malhumorados, los contornos limpios y las grandes 3D. Las combino todas y, dependiendo de mis sentimientos, decido cuántas formas suaves o afiladas tendrá la pieza.
El color juega un papel esencial en mi graffiti… Trato de combinar los tonos de un color con otro tono a menudo opuesto, con el fin de dar luz y fuerza a cada color. El contraste es muy importante y aplicar los colores de manera equilibrada, para tener un porcentaje justo repartido en toda la pieza, es un desafío! ¡Por eso paso mucho tiempo estudiando las combinaciones de colores!
I love letters, solid shapes, moody colors, clean outlines and big 3Ds. I combine them all and, depending on my feelings, decide how many smooth or sharp shapes the piece will have.
Color plays an essential role in my graffiti … I try to combine the shades of one color together with another often opposite shade, in order to give light and strength to each color. Contrast is very important and applying the colors in a balanced way, so as to have a fair percentage spread over the whole piece, is a challenge! This is why I spend a lot of time studying color combinations!

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
¡Claro que sí! Recuerdo que tenía 14 años y mi colegio tenía un «día del estudiante», así que yo y dos amigos fuimos a la pared de atrás del colegio, subimos la música y empezamos a pintar! ¡Obviamente la pieza no estaba bien! ¡Recuerdo que hice un enorme goteo en el centro de la pieza! ¡Lleno verde y amarillo y contornos rojos! ¡Muy mal! jaja Desde ese día no he dejado de hacer graffitis.
Sure I do! I remember I was 14 and my school had a “student day”, so me and 2 friends went to the back wall of the school, turned up the music and started painting! Obviously the piece wasn’t right! I remember I did a huge drip in the center of the piece! Green and yellow fill and red outlines! SO BAD! haha Since that day I have never stopped graffiti!

What is your crew?
Soy parte del colectivo TRK que tiene su base en Rusia; no estoy dentro de ninguna crew local, así que me defino como un escritor independiente.
I’m part of the TRK collective which is based in Russia; I’m not inside of any local crew so I define myself as a free-agent writer!
