¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Sobre el año 2006, estaba dibujando un boceto que decía end, estaba feliz de como las letras intercalaban unas con otras y al final añadí la letra O. Nada mas detrás.
Después, durante mis estudios, decidí usar el apodo de Endo para inventar mi propio apodo. Esto es como empezó un proyecto nuevo que nació en 514,415. Ahora tengo que pensar un nuevo apodo.
It dates back to 2006. I was drawing a sketch that said END, and at that point I was happy with how the letters interacted with each other and ended up just adding the letter O. Nothing deep.
Later, during my studies, I decided to use the pseudonym Endo to invent my own pseudonym. This is how a new project was born – 514,415. Now all I have to do is let the pseudonym of a pseudonym invent its own pseudonym.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Durante el colegio, me metí en un equipo de hip-hop con mis amigos que exploraron el campo del break dance, la música rap y el graffiti. Al final, el graffiti me dio la mayor parte placer. Después conocí a Lock un artista local de graffiti que me introdujo en la historia. Al principio pintaba ilegal pero después me di cuenta de que no encajaba en eso, así que me fue a la pintura mural legal. Investigué un poco en las letras y me pase a los personajes.
During elementary school, I formed a hip-hop team with my friends that explored the field of break dance, rap music, and graffiti. In the end, graffiti drew me in the most. Soon after, I met Lock, a local graffiti artist who introduced me to the whole story. In the beginning, I tried the illegal route, but later realized that it was not a good fit for me so I turned to legal painting. I did a little research in the field of letters, and later moved completely into characters.

What is your style?
Como decía en la pregunta anterior, al principio basé mi trabajo en letras, luego pasé a retratos realistas y animales. Después de eso, cuando me cansé de pintar realismo, cambié a una mezcla de retratos y letras. De esta manera, obtuve una gran cantidad de superficies entrelazadas que, junto con un contorno negro, daban una especie de cubismo, en términos generales. Después de eso, eliminé el contorno y comencé a jugar con la combinación de colores y superficies. Actualmente estoy tratando de deshacerme de mi trabajo de superficies y complejidad excesivas, y pasar a un enfoque más mínimo y moderado en busca de un buen equilibrio, armonía y emoción. Por otro lado, cuando se trata de dibujos espontáneos, uso a mi antihéroe que tiene los ojos entrecerrados, la nariz afilada y los dientes podridos. Él cuenta una historia completamente diferente.
As I said in the previous question, in the beginning I based my work on letters, then I moved on to realistic portraits and animals. After that, when I got tired of painting realism, I switched to a mix of portraits and letters. In this way, I obtained a large number of interlaced surfaces which, together with a black outline, gave a kind of cubism–roughly speaking. After that I removed the outline from use and started playing with the combination of colors and surfaces.
I am currently trying to rid my work of excessive surfaces and complexity, and move into a more minimal and moderate approach in search for good balance, harmony and emotion.
On the other hand, when it comes to spontaneous drawings, I use my anti-hero who has squinty eyes, a sharp nose and rotten teeth. He tells a completely different story.

Justo al mismo tiempo que estabas metiendo tus primeras entrevistas en esta web, hice mi primer muro, después de 18 años, estamos los dos haciendo lo mismo. Pienso que es genial.
At the same time you started posting works/walls, I did my first wall. 18 years later, we’re doing the same thing. I think it’s great.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza fue un pájaro amarillo que sostenía pedazos de papel en los que estaban escritos nuestros tags. Lo pinte con mi amigo Ljuf en un pasadizo del colegio. Recuerdo que con un bote de blanco entero pintamos medio metro cuadrado de superficie. Lo hicimos con boquillas industriales. Cuando se supone que el contorno era dibujarlo, recuerdo que no parábamos de turnarnos haciendolo. Al final yo termine la mitad de la pieza y mi colega la otra mitad. La pieza esta en el mismo muro a día de hoy llena de muchos tags. Fue en el 2005.
My first work was a yellow bird holding pieces of paper on which our tags were written. I worked with my friend Ljuf in a passage by my primary school. I remember we used a full white spraycan on half a square meter. We worked with industrial caps. When the outline was supposed to be drawn, I remember we kept switching who would do it. In the end, I got half the work done and he got the other half. The work is still on the same wall, faded and full of tags. It was 2005.
