¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
En Frances, « Ensemble » significa « juntos » y también « el todo », y « réel » se traduce por « real » o « auténtico ». Somos un dueto artístico, este apodo habla de la fusion de nuestros estilos y técnicas respetos, y lleva el publico a sumergir en el punto de fundición de nuestras tocas en un universo único.
Cada obra se construye sobre un tema, una cara principal, al cerca de la que ponemos otros elementos para matizar y enriquecer este tema. Con todos estos elementos reunidos juntos, entramos en une nueva dimension, una nueva realidad hecha de nuestras dos individualidades.
In French, « Ensemble » means « the whole » but also “together”, and “réel” means “real”. We are an artistic duet, so that pseudo expresses the fusion of our styles and techniques, it’s meant to create this state of mind where the public is going to dive in the point of mergure of our two “touches” into one univers.
Every piece is built around a main subject, generally a face, and the other éléments are here to bring some nuances and to enrich that subject.
When you add up all these, you can enter this new dimension, a new reality brought together by the set of our two individuals.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Somos hermanos, hemos estado creciendo juntos. Nuestra pasión y necesidad de pintar esta sin duda ligada a la educación que nos dieron nuestros padres. Con un padre escultor y una madre reina de las actividades manuales, desde muy pequeños hemos bañado en este universo artístico y gráfico, con primeras realizaciones artísticas la fabricación de los collares de fideos. ¡Todo artista que se precie debe comenzar con los collares de fideos, es fundamental!
Nuestro interés en el arte urbano llego mas tarde. Este movimiento nos ha golpeado como esperamos que golpee a cada uno, ha venido a buscarnos. Cuando te encuentras con un monstruoso Graffiti a pesar de ti, la sensación es completamente diferente de lo que sientes cuando te mueves en una exposición. Este aspecto más brutal lo hace aún más poderoso. Te imaginas todo el universo que abarca la obra que observas, la asunción de riesgos, la realización, la estética. La urgencia es parte integrante de la creación. Se crea un vínculo entre tú y la obra
Las sensaciones eran tan fuertes que decidimos participar en el movimiento.
We are brothers, we grew up in the same home. Our passion and need to paint comes with no doubt from the education our parents gave us. Our father is a sculptor, our mum is the queen of the DIY activities, so we’ve been raised in this graphic and creative environment. Our first masterpieces were noodles collar, but it’s a basic piece, every true artist must have started there !!!
More seriously, about urban art, the interest came later. This move hit us as we hope it hits anyone, it came to us. When you happen to see a huge graff on a wall, without warning, the feeling is so much different that when you chose to go to visit an exhibition. This “brutal” meeting makes it way more powerful since you have to imagin the context around the piece, the risks taken to make it, how it was made, the esthetic that’s in it.
Urgence and pressure makes the creation. It tides you to this work. Our sensations were so strong, we felt it was now time for us to take part of this movement.
¿Cuál es vuestro estilo?
What is your style?
!Buena pregunta ! Nunca nos hemos pensando en eso ya… Quizás porque nuestro estilo ha cambiado mucho. Al principio, estábamos haciendo una base con un estilo de plantilla, siempre muy colorido, con algunos toques más como un dibujo o una pintura. Pero cuando hemos querido trabajar sobre lienzo, y desde hace un año, hemos mantenido ese estilo de plantilla, pero trabajando en otros materiales (papel, madera, metal), añadiendo algunas piezas de dibujo en blanco y negro, como bocetos. Tratamos de mantener esto en nuestro arte urbano en las paredes.
Encontramos inspiración en todas partes y recogemos elementos en todo lo que nos rodea.
En este momento, diríamos que estamos trabajando en el contraste entre el realismo y la abstracción, como si intentáramos crear puentes entre dos universos que es poco probable que se encuentren.
That’s a good question, we’ve never think about it… ! Mostly because our style has changed over the years. At first, we were doing a base with a stencil style, always very colourful, with some touches more like a drawing or painting. But when we’ve wanted to work on canvas, and since a year, we’ve kept that stencil style but working on other materials (paper, wood, metal), adding some black and white drawing pieces, like sketches. We try to keep this in our urban art on walls.
We find inspiration everywhere and pick up elements in everything around us.
At the moment, we’d say we’re working on contrast between realism and abstraction, as if trying to create bridges between two universes unlikely to meet.

Cuando se pinta, la mayoría de los artistas se encuentran solos frente a su creación, se desprende algo muy personal pero que adquiere sentido cuando es observado por el mayor número. Crear es un proceso individual pero que existe con un solo propósito, compartir. El arte urbano es el medio más eficaz para crear un encuentro sin pasar por la vía de personas que toman la decisión de validarlo, o no.
Permitirnos contar nuestra historia a través de su sitio web es la oportunidad de crear un intercambio con el mayor número de personas.
As a painter, you’re often facing your creation alone. It takes something really personal but that makes sense when it meets other people’s eyes. Creation is something individual but that only exists with one goal : sharing. Urban art is the most efficient way to create this contact, it does not depend on people in between who chose to give you visibility or not.
Allowing us to tell our story to you and your readers is an opportunity to initiate new interactions !

La temática de nuestros temas gira siempre en torno a la esperanza y el optimismo, porque para nosotros la creación permitirá siempre poner un poco de luz en los rincones más oscuros.
The main theme of our subject is about hope and optimism because creating, to us, is a way of putting lights in the darkness when all meet in life.
