¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Siempre me ha gustado la pintar, siempre me he quedado sorprendido por las letras que vi en las calles y cómo los colores pueden cambiar por completo una pared vacía. Empecé a pintar letras en 3d pero luego decidí probar retratos realistas y eso es lo que hago ahora, me encanta tener tantas historias de vida para contar a través de mi trabajo, cada persona que pinto tiene una bonita historia para compartir.
I’ve always loved painting, I was always amazed by the letters I saw on the streets and how colors can change completely an empty wall. I started painting 3d lettering but then decided to try realistic portraits and that is what I do now, I love having so many life stories to tell through my work, every person I paint has a nice story to share.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Trato de hablar de las cosas en general, me gusta pintar la belleza de las cosas simples. Mi trabajo tiene como objetivo luchar contra la apatía en un país donde la violencia y la corrupción son cosas bastante malas.
I try to talk about things in general, I like painting the beauty of simple things. My work aims to fight back apathy in a land where violence and corruption are pretty bad.
¿Qué te parece la idea de mostrar tus graffitis en esta web como es “elrincondelasboquillas” para que la gente pueda ver lo que haces?
What do you think about the idea of showing your art in this web as “elrincondelasboquillas” to let people know about you?
Pienso que esto es genial, me gusta que los artistas puedan compartir un poco sobre ellos mismos a la vez que se publican sus fotos.
I think it’s great, I like that artists can share a bit about themselves instead of just posting pictures.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza fue hace 14 años en un muro detrás de la casa de un amigo, recuerdo que solía tener pintura de mala calidad ya que no había muchas opciones en ese entonces. Pocas veces pinto letras 3d pero hoy en día he cambiado a un estilo más realista. La sensación es exactamente la misma, soy mayor, pero todavía disfruto cuando pinto en el mismo nivel.
My first piece was 14 years ago on the wall behind a friend’s house, I remember I used bad quality paint as there were not many options back then. I rarely paint 3d letters nowadays as I changed to a more realistic style. The feeling is quite the same, I’m older but still enjoy it in the same level.

Can you talk us about the graffiti in your city?
Cuernavaca es una de las mejores ciudades para ver graffiti en México, hay buenas crews que pintan con frecuencia y hay muros disponibles todo el tiempo. El tiempo te ayuda a pintar alrededor de todo el año.
Cuernavaca is one of the best cities in Mexico to see graffiti, there are some good crews painting regularly and there are more available walls everytime. The weather helps us to paint all year round.

Espero que todos nosotros podamos seguir creciendo como artistas de graffiti y ayudemos a los nuevos chavales que quieran aprender.
