¿Por qué tu tag es Fresk?
Why is your tag Fresk?
Empecé a pintar graffitis con mis iniciales al azar. Al cabo de un tiempo, no estaba contento con mi nombre y buscaba uno nuevo, probando diferentes combinaciones de letras, etc. Un día normal de instituto, antes de mi examen de historia, estaba revisando el léxico del libro de texto de la clase de historia, y vi el nombre «Fresk»; y me gustó. La combinación de letras me funcionó al pintar. Desde entonces, escribo «Fresk» y nunca lo he cambiado. Al cabo de unos años, añadí «Tire» (nombre de mi ciudad natal) como segundo nombre.
I started writing graffiti with random initials. After some time, I was not happy with my name was searching for the new one, trying different letter combinations, etc. During high school day before my history exam, I was checking the lexical of history class textbook, and I sawthe name ‘Fresk’; and I liked it. Letter combination worked for me. Since then, I am writing’Fresk’ and never changed it. After few years, I add ‘Tire’ (name of my home city) as a second name.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Conocí el graffiti gracias a mi compañero de clase durante 2007. Ese año, vivía parcialmente en Izmir – Karşıyaka. La ventaja de estar en una ciudad más grande es que tuve la oportunidad de conocer a los escritores de graffiti locales. La escena del graffiti en la gran ciudad me sorprendió. Durante esos años mis amigos fueron la mayor motivación para seguir pintando. Naturalmente, se convirtió en una parte importante de mi vida.
I met graffiti thanks to my classmate during 2007. That year, I was partially living in Izmir – Karşıyaka. The advantage of being in a bigger city I had a chance to meet local graffiti writers. The Graffiti scene in the big city amazed me. During that years my friends were the biggest motivation for me to keep painting. It naturally became a big part of my life.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Principalmente mi trabajo se basa en el wildstyle y trato de mantenerme único con mis letras y elementos. Puedo definir mi estilo como afilado y oscuro. Sin embargo, para mí el estilo siempre está abierto a nuevas interpretaciones. Aunque me gustan las piezas clásicas y limpias, también me gustan las nuevas interpretaciones del estilo. Como las letras con contornos orgánicos y combinadas con caracteres o letras geométricas y afiladas con aspecto 3D. Seguir experimentando siempre abre nuevas puertas. Al final, el resultado que obtengo es el que define mi estilo.
Mainly I work on wildstyle and trying to keep unique with my letter and elements. I can define my style as sharp and dark. However, for me, style is always open to new interpretations. Although I like classic and clean pieces I also like the new interpretations in style. Like letters with organic outlines and combined with characters or geometric and sharp letters in 3D look. Keep experimenting always opens new doors. At the end of the day what I come out with the result is defines my style.
