¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Es el nombre que elegimos con mi esposa para nuestro estudio que se llama «GREY KATS» me gusta como suena GREYK, a parte que la letra k al final es una de mis favoritas, tiene letras complejas como la G al inicio y una «Y», me costó un poco la composición de las letras y el balance, pero con dibujo solucioné ese rollo pero me gusta como suena.
It is the name we chose with my wife for our studio called ‘GREY KATS’ I like the sound of GREYK, apart from the fact that the letter k at the end is one of my favourites, it has complex letters like the G at the beginning and a ‘Y’, I struggled a bit with the composition of the letters and the balance, but with drawing I solved that problem but I like the sound of it.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Cuando tenía 12 años me quedé en casa de unos amigos de mi infancia, era un barrio lejano al mío y salimos a callejear y presencié a un tipo pintando que era amigo del hermano mayor de mis amigos, mis amigos lo saludaron, le decían el tufo y estaba haciendo un wild style con colores azules (tengo recuerdos borroso de esa situación) después de muchos años me tope con el tufo que en realidad s tag era DECRE le conté mi historia y se echo a reí y me dijo hermano a mi en esos años me decían tufo, el fue mi primer acercamiento al mundo del graffiti y desde ese punto me empezó a interesar todo el mundo del graffiti.
When I was 12 years old I stayed at my childhood friends house, it was a neighbourhood far away from mine and we went out to walk around and I saw a guy painting who was a friend of my friends older brother, my friends greeted him, they called him tufo and he was doing a wild style with blue colours (I have blurred memories of that situation) after many years I bumped into tufo who in reality his tag was DECRE, I told him my story and he laughed and told me brother, in those years they called me tufo, he was my first approach to the world of graffiti and from that point on I started to be interested in the whole world of graffiti.

What is your style?
Generé mi estilo en base de una búsqueda de años, viví en muchos países conecte con mucha gente me inspiré de todo un poco, pero si puedo analizar mi estilo o al menos el corazón de este es una mezcla de: wild style/orgánico/podrido/plástico/textura/color/metal/dark art.
I generated my style based on years of research, I lived in many countries, I connected with many people, I was inspired by a bit of everything, but if I can analyse my style or at least the heart of it is a mix of: wild style/organic/podrido/plastic/texture/colour/metal/dark art.
