¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Escribí kroh durante mucho tiempo y al final me cansé de la combinación de letras, así que suprimí la k y le di la vuelta. Me gusta pensar que es el diminutivo de horror o una gran puta.
I wrote kroh for a very long time and eventually got over the letter combination so I dropped the k and flipped it in around. I like to think it’s short for horror or a big ol whore.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Siempre me ha gustado el arte y el dibujo, pero odiaba los pinceles y los lienzos. Empecé a patinar y a ver obras en sitios callejeros y creo que el misterio que lo rodea me atrajo definitivamente. Cuando crecí en el barrio, era una buena forma de mantenerme alejado de los problemas y una buena vía de escape, y lo sigue siendo hoy en día.
I always loved art and drawing but hated brushes and canvases. I started skating and seeing pieces at street spots and I think the mystery around it all definitely drew me in. Growing up in the hood it was a good way to keep outta trouble and a good escape, and still is to this day.

What is your style?
Mierda tío, no lo sé. ¿Supongo que horror semi salvaje? Todavía estoy tratando de entenderlo. Partes puntiagudas y afiladas.
Shit man I dunno. I guess horror semi wildstyle? Still trying to figure that out. Pointy sharp bits.

Me parece estupendo que pongas en contacto a gente y estilos diferentes con los que no te encontrarías necesariamente.
I think it’s cool that your connecting a lot of different styles and people for everyone to see that you wouldn’t necessarily come across.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Ah, sí. Jaja. Depende de cómo llames a una pieza. Recuerdo que la primera vez que cogí un bote y fue más de un pompa en plata con un amigo. Las típicas letras burbuja de toy con un colega por la noche. En aquel momento era más de cachondeo pero me encantaba. El subidón, las risas, saber que has hecho algo que no debías, recuerdo que pensaba que esto es realmente enfermizo. Eso fue probablemente alrededor de ’06 tarde un poco de años hasta que realmente hice una pieza adecuada que era un par de años más tarde en los desagües Ferny Grove con un muchacho local Ferny que realmente me mostró las movidas del graffiti. ¡Salud a Boogles y Sean!.
Oh yeah. Haha. Depends what you call a piece. I remember the first time i picked up a can was more of a throwy chromie with a friend at the time. Typical toy bubble letters with a mate at night for shits and gigs. At the time it was more of a piss take but I loved it. The rush, the laughs, knowing you did something that you shouldn’t i remember think shit this is actually sick. That was probably around ’06 took a bit of time until i actually did a proper piece that was a few years later at ferny grove drains with a local ferny lad who really showed me the ropes. Shout out Boogles and Sean!.
