¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Pille mi nombre ojeando una vieja revista de skateboard, me encontré con un anuncio de Keith Hufnagel para thunder trucks… las letras eran atrevidas. Y me atrajeron al instante porque eran rectas y destacaban. Más tarde añadí la «R» en honor a la marca de Keith, HUF.
I got my name from looking through an old skateboarding mag, I came across a Keith Hufnagel AD for thunder trucks… the letters were bold. And I was instantly attracted to them because they were straight and stood out. I later added the ‘R’ in respects to Keiths brand HUF.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Mi entorno y mis amigos, sin duda. Todos éramos ratas del patin de skate y nos encantaba ir por la ciudad y pintar en todas partes, con el tiempo un par de amigos, incluyéndome a mí, empezaron a tomárselo más en serio que el monopatín… Definitivamente fue por el «subidón» del principio.
My environment and friends for sure. We were all skate-rats and loved to roam the city and write everywhere, eventually a couple friends including me started taking it more serious than skateboarding… It was definitely for the “rush” early on.

What is your style?
Ser versátil. Destaca. No ceñirse a una sola cosa…
Being versatile. Standing out. Not being stuck to one thing…

Quería ir a lo grande. El objetivo era hacer letras grandes y legibles era lo primero…
I wanted to go big. Big fat readable letters was the goal early on…
