¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Cuando era niño, veía los dibujos animados Tom y Jerry y me gustaba mucho el personaje de Jerry porque era muy listo. Así que elegí su nombre como mi nombre en inglés. Jaja, pero no soy nada listo. Más tarde, cuando empecé a hacer grafitis, me pareció que la firma era demasiado larga, así que quité la «R» y la «Y» y añadí la «O» al final. La «O» también puede representar un círculo, símbolo de infinitas posibilidades de desarrollo.
When I was a child, I watched the cartoon Tom and Jerry and really liked the character Jerry because he was so clever. So, I chose his name as my English name. Haha, but I’m not smart at all. Later, when I started getting into graffiti, I felt the tag was too long, so I removed the «R» and «Y» and added «O» at the end. The «O» can also represent a circle, symbolizing endless possibilities for development.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Nunca fui un niño al que le gustara estudiar, sólo el dibujo despertaba mi interés. Seguí practicando y aprendiendo diferentes técnicas de dibujo.
Cuando estaba en el primer ciclo de secundaria, vi una obra de DABS & REACH en la ciudad y me quedé alucinado. Fue la primera vez que supe lo que era el graffiti. Empecé a buscar material relacionado en las librerías, pero no había mucho disponible, así que tuve que aprender por imitación.
No fue hasta el instituto cuando conocí a TONS & PHATE, dos compañeros de clase que se convirtieron en mis mentores en el graffiti, moldeando tanto mis habilidades como mi estilo. Sin ellos, no sería quien soy hoy. Estoy realmente agradecido por haber encontrado algo que puedo hacer para toda la vida!.
I was never a kid who loved studying—only drawing sparked my interest. I kept practicing and learning different drawing techniques along the way.
When I was in junior high, I saw a piece by DABS & REACH in the city, and it completely blew my mind! That was the first time I learned about graffiti. I started searching for related materials in bookstores, but there wasn’t much available, so I had to learn by imitation.
It wasn’t until high school that I met TONS & PHATE, two classmates who became my mentors in graffiti, shaping both my skills and style. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I’m truly grateful that I’ve found something I can do for a lifetime!.

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Lo que más me gusta del graffiti es que permite creaciones rápidas y a gran escala, es increíblemente satisfactorio y da una gran sensación de logro. Es una forma de expresión completamente libre y llena de infinitas posibilidades.
Gracias al graffiti he conocido a amigos de todo el mundo e incluso he empezado a viajar, lo que ha enriquecido mi vida de muchas maneras. Lo que menos me gusta del graffiti es pasar por encima del trabajo de otra persona. Aunque forma parte de la cultura, a veces puede causar problemas innecesarios.
What I love most about graffiti is the way it allows for fast, large-scale creations—it’s incredibly satisfying and gives a great sense of achievement. It’s a form of expression that feels completely free and full of endless possibilities.
Through graffiti, I’ve met friends from all over the world and even started traveling, which has enriched my life in so many ways. The thing I dislike most about graffiti is going over someone else’s work. Even though it’s part of the culture, it can sometimes lead to unnecessary trouble.

Do you remember the first piece?
¡Sí, sí! Claro que me acuerdo. Fue en marzo de 2008, cuando PHATE me llevó a un evento llamado Sky Graffiti. Después de clase, incluso fuimos juntos a pintar la capa base: ¡nuestros uniformes escolares se ensuciaron ridículamente!.
Al día siguiente, pinté por primera vez en una pared. Antes sólo había practicado sobre papel. Fue mucho más difícil de lo que esperaba y mis dedos se quedaron sin fuerza enseguida. Ese día también conocí a muchos escritores, ¡y me abrió los ojos!
Echando la vista atrás, mi estilo de entonces era completamente distinto al de ahora. Solía dibujar sin pensar demasiado. Pero después de conocer a más gente, mi estilo empezó a evolucionar. Incluso ahora, sigo explorando y descubriendo mi propio estilo, algo con lo que quiero jugar toda la vida.
Yes, yes! Of course, I remember! It was March 2008 when PHATE took me to an event called Sky Graffiti. After class, we even went to paint the base coat together—our school uniforms got ridiculously dirty!
The next day, I painted on a wall for the first time. Before that, I had only practiced on paper. It was way harder than I expected, and my fingers ran out of strength in no time—haha! That day, I also met a lot of writers, and it really opened my eyes!
Looking back, my style back then was completely different from what it is now. I used to just keep sketching without thinking too much. But after meeting more people, my style started to evolve. Even now, I’m still exploring and figuring out my own unique style—this is something I want to play with for a lifetime!
