Cuando empecé a tomarme más en serio el pintar, mi hermana y yo pintabamos juntas y nos haciamos llamar las hermanas BOTELATA…
Después de algún tiempo yo seguí pintando y nos repartimos el nombre, una Lata y otra Bote, está claro cual me tocó.
When I began to paint more seriously, my sister and I painted together and we called ourselves the BOTELATA sisters …
After some time I continued painting and we shared the name, Lata and another Bote, of course i knew which name i would have.

La sensación de libertad, el subidón de adrenalina, compartir con otros escritores, el olor de la pintura…
The feeling of freedom, the rush of adrenaline, sharing with other writers, the smell of paint …
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus obras?
What do you try to say with your artworks?
Siempre me ha gustado pintar personajes porque expresan sentimientos, no sé cuales… eso se lo dejo al que quiera encontrarlos, no hay un trasfondo politico-social en lo que pinto, ese trasfondo está en el acto en sí de hacer del arte algo libre y accesible para todos
I have always liked to paint characters because they express feelings, I do not know which … I leave that to anyone who wants to find them, there is no political-social background in what I paint, that background is in the act itself of making art something free and accessible for everybody.

¿Te recuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza fué en Jaén, por aquel entonces yo firmaba con Hida y hacía letras… Era mi cumpleaños, cumplía 16…Yo y el que era mi chico nos saltamos la valla de un colegio y a oscuras pinté unas letras en tonos morados… A saber lo qué se veía al día siguiente, no volví a saltar la valla para verlo…de aquella época no queda documentos graficos ya que aún no teníamos cámaras digitales, sólo queda el recuerdo, la sensación dehacer algo “grande”…
My first piece was in Jaen, at that time I tagged with Hida and made lyrics … It was my birthday, I was 16 … Me and the one that was my boy we climbed the fence of a school and in the dark I painted some letters in shades purple … To know what was seen the next day, I did not jump over the fence to see it … from that time there are no graphic documents because we still did not have digital cameras, there is only the memory, the feeling of doing something «big» …

Supongo que habrá una “evolución” del movimiento marcada por las nuevas tecnologías, que dará lugar a otro movimiento que parta del graffiti pero que no se parecerá en nada al graffiti que conocemos hoy día, al igual que el de hoy en día no se parece al graffiti de los años 70…
I suppose there will be an «evolution» of the movement marked by new technologies, which will give rise to another movement that starts with graffiti but that will not look at all like the graffiti we know today, just as today’s does not look like to the graffiti of the 70s …
