Where does your pseudonym come from?
Elegí el nombre LIMIT en 1999 porque, según mis investigaciones, nadie más en el mundo escribía esa palabra y me parecía desafiante y único.
I chose the name LIMIT back in 1999’ as from my research nobody else in the world wrote that word and it seemed challenging and unique.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Lo que me motivó fue la cultura hip hop, crecer viendo vídeos de scribble jam y ver los graffitis de Vancouver, Canadá cuando era adolescente me inspiró para empezar a pintar.
What motivated me was the hip hop culture, growing up watching scribble jam videos and seeing the graffiti in Vancouver Canada as a teenager inspired me to start writing.

What is your style?
Mi estilo supongo que se basaría en mi forma de letras y wildstyle. Realmente no hago muchas piezas simples o de estilo público.
My style I guess would be based on my letter form and wildstyle. I don’t really do many simple or public style pieces.

Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza podría haber sido alrededor del 2003. En unos canales del desagüe en Kamloops, Columbia Británica, Canadá.
Fue bastante mierda jajaja, pero todo el mundo empieza en alguna parte. Me concentré en bocetear con mis black books y en intentar tener algo medio decente (en mi mente) antes de colgarlo. Estaba nervioso y no sabía mucho sobre técnica y combinaciones de colores.
Hoy en día es bastante sencillo pintar, a veces me llevo un boceto, otras veces sé que puedo hacer algo a mi aire y simplemente disfruto del proceso, desde los primeros retoques hasta dejarme llevar por la corriente de los colores según mi estado de ánimo y la situación del momento.
My first piece might have been around 2003. In some drain canals in kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
It was pretty wack lol, but everyone starts somewhere. I really focused on my black books and trying to have something half decent (in my mind) before putting it up. I was nervous and didn’t know much about technique and colour combinations.
Nowadays it’s pretty straight forward to paint, sometimes I bring a sketch, other times I know I can freestyle something and just enjoy the process from first mark ups to going with the flow of colours depending on my mood and situation in the moment.
