Why is your tag «Mr.Trazo»?
El trazo es un elemento básico, importantísimo, en el arte. Y con especial importancia en el graffiti o la pintura mural. Aunque se trata de algo más complejo, no me refiero al trazo como elemento constructivo perfecto, sino como marca o impronta personal de quien escribe, de quien pinta o de quien dibuja.
The «trazo» is such a basic element on art, and with special importance on graffiti. But it´s something more complicated, because I don´t mean the trace as an unique constructive element, but a personal distinction on who writes or paints.
¿Qué fue lo que te motivo para coger un spray y ponerte a pintar en la calle?
What motivated you for taking a spray and start painting in the streets?
Ante el anonimato de ser uno más, era una forma de sentirte vivo, de romper con la masa social.
The anonymity of being just one more, it was a way of feeling alive, of breaking the social mass .
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
No busco encasillarme en ningún estilo en concreto. El resultado estético de mi obra responde a una búsqueda muy personal por la que complacerme a mí mismo. Hay quien define mi estilo como expresionista. Por comodidad y rapidez lo más habitual es que trabaje mayoritariamente con spray, pero me gusta la combinación de diversas técnicas, el abanico de posibilidades que te abre la diversidad de técnicas es muy valioso. No soy un purista del graffiti, ni siquiera creo que mi obra actual sea graffiti, aunque compartan la herramienta del spray y el soporte de la calle.
I don´t want to be into any concret style. The static result of my work doesn´t respond to a personal search for pleasing myself. Some people define my style as expressionist. I usually work with spray because it´s faster and easier , but i also like the combination of different techniques, and the different techniques means a really big spectrum of possibilities. I´m not a graffiti purist, I don´t even think that my work could be named graffiti, although I use spray and the street as my support.

What do you try to express with your work?
Mis mensajes están siempre relacionados con cosas que me afectan a mí. Suelo sacar muchos aspectos negativos que veo en mí. Eso lo saco. También intento reflejar cosas que veo en la sociedad y que tampoco me gustan. Todo eso lo mezclo y hago una especie de crítica, muchas veces irónica. Suelen ser cosas cotidianas y a la vez muy simples.
My message is always related to things that had happened to me. I usually take the negative aspects from myself and also from society. Then I mix it all and I do some kind of critic work, sometimes even ironic. They use to be normal and simple things.
¿Cómo te imaginas el graffiti en un futuro (año 2085)?
How do you imagine graffiti in the future (year 2085)?
Como hasta ahora el graffiti seguirá teniendo sus etapas de booms y de declives. Cada boom probablemente venga determinado por algún tipo de innovación técnica o formal.
¡Ojalá inventen un Spray no cancerígeno!
Just until now, graffiti will still have it’s good and bad phases. Each good period will probably come determinate by some king of technic or formal innovation.
Hopefully a non carcinogen spray!
¿Dónde te gustaría pintar?
Where would you like to paint?
Ante esta pregunta la gente siempre espera que responda Nueva York, Paris o Berlín. Sin embargo, me gustaría pintar en los lugares más recónditos del mundo en plena naturaleza, en medio de selvas y bosques, en entornos indígenas y en poblados de tribus no precisamente urbanas. Si me gustaría conocer el mundo a través de mis murales, empaparme de cada rincón y revelar nuevos sentimientos.
When someone asks me that question, people expect me to answer New York, Paris or Berlin, but i´d like to paint in the most recondite places of the world, in the middle of the nature, into jungles and forests, in indigenous territories where the tribes live. I would like to travel around the world by my murals, go to every little place and reveal new feelings.

De los sitios más recónditos con escasez de medios e infraestructuras. Me interesa el ingenio y talento de quienes no tienen medios y pese a ello salen a la calle a poner su nombre o lanzar su mensaje interior a través de sus murales, instalaciones o cualquier otra forma.
From the most recondite sites and with less resources and infrastructures. I keen on the ingenious and talent from the people who does´t have resources and they despite that they go out the streets for writings their names or they interior message on the walls, buildings, or wherever.

What do you think about the idea of showing your works in a website such as «elrincondelasboquillas.com» for let the people see your work?
Que la gente pueda ver mi obra a través de este sitio web está bien, pero sobre todo me resulta interesante la congregación de distintas visiones y opiniones vertidas en esta web, procedentes de artistas y graffiteros con un gran recorrido a sus espaldas. Leer varias de estas entrevistas puede ser enriquecedor para el lector que también podrá conocer la obra de artistas o graffiteros que desconocían.
Getting people to see my work on this website is nice, but I find especially interesting the congregation of difference points of view and opinions that are on this website from artists and writers with a lot of prestige. Reading some of this interviews may be good pro the people, and may let someone know some writes that were unknown.
¿Te imaginas haber vivido todo este tiempo sin haber hecho graffitis ó street art?
Do you imagine to have lived in other era without having done graffitis or street art?
A través del graffiti y del arte rompí desde el principio con la monotonía y rutina de la masa social. No me imagino todo este tiempo haber vivido sin ello, supongo que sería un tipo más sin aspiraciones más allá de las reglamentadas, como son poseer un inmueble propio, un empleo rutinario y la inversión del tiempo libre en cosas banales.
By graffiti and art I broke with the monotony and routine of the social mass. I don’t imagine myself all this time without it, so I suppose I´d be a normal guy without more aspirations than the normal ones, just as having my one house, my routine job and spending time in banal things.
¿Nos podrías dar algún consejo para ser igual de bueno que tu pintando?
Would you give us some advise to be as good as you at painting?
Ser uno mismo. No procurar complacer a nadie a través de tu trabajo para recibir elogios.
Be yourself. Don´t do your work for please the others.
¿Qué cosas o conceptos te definen como persona o escritor?
What things or concepts define you as a writer and a person?
La modestia y humildad define tanto a mi persona como a mi alter-ego como artista. Siempre tengo presente mi procedencia. Tengo suerte por conocer grandes artistas que a su vez son grandes personas, este es círculo del que me gusta rodearme. Por el contrario, no me atraen los ámbitos de artistas o graffiteros prepotentes.
Modesty and humility define me as a person and as a writer. I never forget where I´m from. I´m lucky of having known great artists who are also great persons. This is the people I like to be with. I don´t feel attracted by egocentric artists or writers.
¿Cuál es tu crew?
Which is your crew?
No formo parte de ninguna crew, aunque me gusta colaborar con artistas, diseñadores o graffiteros. Las colaboraciones me resultan muy interesantes y sorprendentes cuando en el muro hay una compenetración con tus compañeros, así se forma un todo único, normalmente esto no ocurre si los individuos son demasiados egocéntricos. Una colaboración no consiste en la reunión de graffiteros que se centran exclusivamente en su obra o pieza, sino en la reunión de artistas capaces de compenetrarse, de complementarse y de ceder, para así crear una obra más potente y con coherencia.
I´m not from any crew, but I like to collaborate with artists, designers and other writers. Collaborations result me very interesting and surprising when there´s a com penetration between me and my partners, and there forms something unique. This never happen with egocentric people. One collaboration isn´t only a reunion of writers who only paint, but a reunion of artists who are able to com penetrate themselves, complement themselves and yield, in order to create a powerful and coherent work.
