Why is your tag Mr.June?
Empecé a pintar en el año 1985, desde el primer día mi tag era «june». en ese momento no sabía que ese era el mes de junio en inglés, solo cuatro letras una al lado de la otra para firmar rápidamente, más tarde lo de mister lo añadí al lado.
I started graff in 1985..from day one my tag was “june”. at that time i did not knew that that was the month june in english, just four letters next to each other to tag quickly. later the mister came in front of it.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Cuando era niño, era un b-boy, completamente enganchado al hiphop que empezaba por aquel entonces.
En el año 1984 vi por primera vez «wildstyle» y más tarde descubrí el «Subway art» la primera vez que vi esto, me enganché y el «subway art» se convirtió en mi guía.
As a kid i was a b-boy. completely hooked on the early hiphop.
In 1984 i saw the first time “wildstyle” and later i discovered “subway art” the first time i saw this i was hooked., and “subway art” became my driving bible.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Nada realmente … solo quiero que el espectador experimente una nueva o diferente visión de la realidad, solo para darle al espectador una «nueva» mirada en ese lugar, en ese momento.
Y por supuesto seguir experimentando solo para probar cosas nuevas y tratar de mantener lo original.
Nothing realy..i just want the spectator to experience a new or different view of reality. just to give the viewer a “new” look at that spot, st that moment.
and of course to keep on experimenting just to try new things and trying to keep original.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Resumen minimalista, no un estilo, supongo … solo juego con colores y formas.
Minimalist abstract, not a style i guess…just playing with colors and shapes.

Es un placer, Siempre es bueno cuando alguien comparte mi trabajo. El Graffiti y murales son artes públicas. así que cuantos más espectadores, mejor, creo.
its an pleasure, it is always nice when someone shares my work. Graffiti and murals are public arts. so the more viewers the better, i think.

Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza fue en el 1985, una pieza a todo color en el recreo de un colegio.
En ese momento solo había una marca de botes, colores limitados y solo un tipo de boquilla.
Durante años tuve mi propio estudio de diseño gráfico en amsterdam. mis grafitis se volvieron más y más abstractos porque decidí combinar mis habilidades gráficas con graff. solo para refinar mi propia «escritura».
My first piece was in 1985. a full color piece on the playing ground of a school.
at that time there was only one brand of can, limited colors and only one cap.
for years i had my own graphic design studio in amsterdam. my graffities became more and more abstract because i decided to combine my graphic skills with graff. just to refine my own “handwriting”.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?
What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?
Me mantiene joven … terapia de muro.
Me da la oportunidad de viajar, quedar con amigos y hacer amigos nuevos.
It keeps me young.. wall therapy
it gives me the opportunity to travel and meet friends and make new ones.
