¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi Tag Original es “nativo” me gusta la idea que sea una palabra neutral, que no me asocie a algo, simplemente significa “el que nació en”. Sin embargo, mi Tag ahora mutó a NOVA, que es una abreviación del anterior, y además significa “nuevo”. Creo que siempre busco la evolución y el cambio.
My original tag is «native», I like the idea that it is a neutral word, which does not associate me with something, it simply means «the one who was born in». However, my Tag now mutated to NOVA, which is an abbreviation of the previous one, and also means «new». I think I am always looking for evolution and change.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Cuando era niño hacía dibujos de dinosaurios, dragones y caricaturas de animales, pero siempre quise que más personas pudieran verlos y no únicamente mi familia y amigos. Así que cuando descubrí el graffiti, supe que era lo que buscaba, luego de eso, me enamoré de la versatilidad de los trazos y las texturas que se logran con el aerosol.
When I was a kid I used to draw dinosaurs, dragons and animal cartoons, but I always wanted more people to see them than just my family and friends. So when I discovered graffiti, I knew it was what I was looking for, after that, I fell in love with the versatility of the strokes and textures that can be achieved with spray paint.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
No sé si podría definirlo, es una mezcla de muchas referencias, como videojuegos, comics, anime, animación 3d, dibujo de naturaleza, tatuaje new school, concept art, ahora por el diseño digital; y cada cosa que me llame la atención, la voy incluyendo.
I don’t know if I could define it, it’s a mixture of many references, like video games, comics, anime, 3d animation, nature drawing, new school tattooing, concept art, now digital design; and each thing that catches my attention, I’m including it.

Me emociona bastante, realmente he visto ésta página por varios años y me parece muy interesante su recopilación de artistas e historias.
I’m really excited, I’ve been watching this site for several years and I find your compilation of artists and stories very interesting.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Fue en el 2011, nos reunimos 8 amigos influenciados por el auge del graffiti en Bogotá queríamos probar esto de pintar y encontramos un muro en los que cualquier persona puede ir a practicar, hicimos lo que pudimos, pero no quedo como esperábamos, Ahí empezó la intriga de como dominar el aerosol, que en ese momento me pareció tan complejo; de ése pinte solo quedamos 2 artistas activos.
It was in 2011, we met 8 friends influenced by the graffiti boom in Bogota, we wanted to try this painting thing and we found a wall where anyone could go to practice, we did what we could, but it didn’t turn out as we expected, that’s when the intrigue of how to master the aerosol began, which at that time seemed so complex; from that painting we were only 2 active artists.
