Escribo PRIZ-ONE uno de los miembros de la crew THE SPANISH5 (TSF/TS5). Empecé escribiendo al final de los años 70.
I write PRIZ-ONE of THE SPANISH 5 (TSF/TS5) crew. I started writing in the late 70’s.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Trato de transmitir que mi estilo de la vieja escuela sigue vivo y que sigue siendo igual de relevante en el siglo 21.
I try to convey that my old school style letter form is alive and well and still very relevant in the 21st century.

¿Que te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Cuando iba al colegio en primaria en 1970, solía viajar en tren al colegio. Vi nombres frescos pintados en los exteriores de los vagones del metro en la IRT en las lineas 1-2 y 3. Por lo que empecé a pasar por ahi más tiempo en la estación de la calle 96 donde las tres lineas se unían. Me enganche al balonmano e iba a las pistas y en el colegio de Joan of Arc H.S., P.S. 163, I.S. 44, Instituto Brandeis y P.S.9 estaban grandes artistas que me influyeron para pintar piezas con ese estilo como DEAN BYB (D.E.P) y JEAN-13 BYB entre otros y de la crew BYB (BRANDEIS YARD BOYS/BAD YARD BOYS)
When I was attending grammar school in the 1970’s, I would often ride the train to school. I saw freshly painted names on the exteriors of the subway cars on the IRT 1-2 and 3 lines. So I started spending more time benching on the 96th street station where the three lines converged. I hung out and played on the handball courts and in the school yards of Joan of Arc H.S., P.S. 163, I.S. 44, Brandeis High School and P.S.9 where art by DEAN BYB (R.I.P) and JEAN-13 BYB among others from The BYB (BRANDEIS YARD BOYS/BAD YARD BOYS) became a big influence and motivation in the creation of my future writing and piecing styles.

Una mezcla del estilo de los años 70 y 80 con un pálido color moderno.
A mix of the 1970’s and 1980’s style with a modern color pallid.

Can you talk about this as the graffiti in your city?
Absolutamente. La forma mas pura de las letras en concreto en el acero.
Absolutely. It’s the purest letter form on concrete and on steel.

What is your favourite graffiti film?

En mi opinión, cualquier el cual todavía tenga dedicación, amor, tenacidad, autenticidad, modestia y consistencia es el favorito para mi.
In my opinion, anyone who still does it with dedication, love, tenacity, authenticity, modesty and consistency is favored by me.
