¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Primero, quería ser un bailarín de breakdance. En las competiciones siempre miraba los graffitis. Eso me fascinaba. Porque no era muy bueno en el Break Break… Así que me dediqué a los graffitis. Pero no había equipos ni pintores que conociera, así que sólo dibujé los primeros años (1995-1998) y aprendí todo de revistas y libros (Backspinn, Backjumps, Schwarzkopf-Schwarzkopf, MZEE – era la Meca del Hip Hop) o videocassettes (Beatstreet, Wildstyle, Stylewarz) que había conseguido. En el año 2000 conocí a RAST (ASV). Me enseñó los Halls y los primeros conocimientos sobre Graffiti. Se convirtió en mi mentor y yo en parte de la crew de ASV. A partir de entonces todo empezó…
First, I wanted to be a Breakdancer. On the jams I always looked at the graffities. That fascinated me. Because I wasn’t very good at Breaking 🙂 I dedicated myself to graffity. But there were no crews or painters I knew, so I only sketched the first years (1995-1998) and learned everything from magazines and books (Backspinn, Backjumps, Schwarzkopf-Schwarzkopf, MZEE – was the Mecca for Hip Hop) or video cassettes (Beatstreet, Wildstyle, Stylewarz) that I had gotten. In 2000 I got to know RAST (ASV). He showed me the Halls and the first insights into Graffity. He became my mentor and I became part of the ASV crew. From then on everything started…

What do you try to say with your graffiti?
A veces se aborda un tema, pero no quiero transmitir un mensaje especial. Quiero mostrarme a mí y a mi estilo.
A topic is taken up sometimes, but I do not want to convey a special message. I want to show me and my style.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Me resulta difícil describir mi propio estilo. Yo diría que: Estilo clásico semi salvaje con elementos modernos, colores brillantes y efectos.
I find it hard to describe my own style. I would say: Classic semi wild wild style with modern elements, bright colours and effects.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
La primera película con spray fue alrededor de 1995. Antes de eso éramos patinadores y petabamos logos otags como «SK8» – «Patina o Muere» en paredes, pasos subterráneos y parques. Pero no pensé que era el graffiti.
En 1995 robé unas cuantas latas del taller de pintura y fui a la pista de skate con un amigo. Hermoso día soleado, mediodía a las dos en punto. Sacudí los botes y pinté la parte de atrás de una parada de autobús que apuntaba al parque de skate. ¡Pura adrenalina! Al principio orgullosa y feliz, pero al final, decepcionada por el resultado. Era una pieza muy mala.
Había rociado la palabra «suave», pero no me llamó.
Hasta el año 2000 rocié tal vez 15 piezas con el pensamiento del graffiti – por lo demás sólo esbozaba y no me veía a mí mismo como un escritor.
He bosquejado todas las palabras o también otros nombres de otros pintores. No tenía una idea real del graffiti… 2000 RAST me mostró el Salón de la Fama y me dijo más sobre el graffiti. Estaba totalmente entusiasmado. A partir de ese momento también me puse mi nombre de pila – SORE. Desde entonces estuve casi todos los días en el paso subterráneo. Así que diría que había pintado mi primer graffiti de verdad en el 2000 con el nombre de Sore.
The first picture with can was around 1995. Before that we were skaters and sprayed logos or tags like «SK8» – «Skate or Die» on walls, underpasses and parks. But I didn’t think of graffity.
In 1995 I stole a few cans from the paint shop and went to the skate park with a buddy. Beautiful sunny day, noon at two o’clock. I shaked the cans and painted the back of a bus stop which pointed to the skate park. Pure adrenalin! At the beginning proud and happy, but at the end full disappointment about the result. It was a very bad piece.
I had sprayed the word «soft» – but didn’t call myself soft.
Until 2000 I sprayed maybe 15 pieces with the thought of graffiti – otherwise only sketched and did not see myself as a Writer.
I have sketched all words or also other names of other painters. I had no real idea of graffity…2000 RAST showed me the Hall of Fame and told me more about graffiti. I was totally stoked. From that moment on I also gave myself my first name – SORE. From then on I was almost every day in the underpass. So I would say that I had painted my first real graffiti in 2000 with the name Sore.
¿Qué es lo que mas te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?
What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?
Me encanta la diversidad: mucha gente, culturas, gustos, puntos de vista, impresiones, técnicas, países, costumbres, lugares… cada día es diferente, cada imagen, estilo, persona es diferente. No os conocéis, pero inmediatamente tenéis una base – como la música – que nos conecta a todos. Un amor.
I love the diversity – many people, cultures, tastes, views, impressions, techniques, countries, customs, places…every day is different, every picture, style, person is different. You don’t know each other, but you immediately have a basis – like music – which connects us all. One Love.
