¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mas allá de un significado concreto, viene del juego de diferentes vocales y consonantes para formar un ‘tag’ que por aquel entonces, 2003, Sake, sonaba y funcionaba muy bien para crear letras, para conformar mi firma y ser utilizado como nombre de batalla.
Beyond a specific meaning, it comes from the play of different vowels and consonants to form a tag that at that time, 2003, Sake, sounded and worked very well to create letters, to form my tag and to be used as a battle name.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
La fuerza que tenia el spray como medio de creación, como medio de socialización y como elemento para poder ‘crear’ pinturas o ideas. El momento clave fue una ‘jam’ que se hizo en Baena a finales de 2001, fue la primera vez que tuve la oportunidad de ver personas utilizar un spray para crear graffiti, desde ese momento hubo un despertar hacia esta disciplina.
The power that spray paint had as a means of creation, as a means of socialising and as an element to be able to ‘create’ paintings or ideas. The key moment was a ‘jam’ that took place in Baena at the end of 2001, it was the first time I had the opportunity to see people using spray paint to create graffiti, from that moment on there was an awakening towards this discipline.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Con el paso del tiempo he ido evolucionando, y he tenido la oportunidad de abarcar diferentes estilos.
Durante los primeros 12/15 años, pintaba letras, en el sentido más estricto del termino, piezas, murales, calle, vandal, tag’s….. englobado en un estilo semi/wild style.
Con el paso del tiempo pasé a elementos más figurativos, yendo desde el realismo hasta el muralismo en gran formato que es lo que ahora más trabajo y empleo tiempo, llevado a una temática costumbrista, histórico o cultural.
Over time I’ve evolved, and I’ve had the opportunity to cover different styles.
During the first 12/15 years, I painted letters, in the strictest sense of the term, pieces, murals, street, vandal, tag’s….. encompassed in a semi/wild style.
As time went by I moved on to more figurative elements, going from realism to large format muralism, which is what I work and spend most of my time on nowadays, with a traditional, historical or cultural theme.

Desde muy joven sigo este medio de difusión, era y es una referencia para todos los escritores que desarrollamos esta disciplina, por su contenido, calidad y rigor a la cultura. Mucha respeto y que no pare.
Since I was very young I have been following this media, it was and is a reference for all writers who develop this discipline, for its content, quality and rigour to culture. Much respect and may it not stop.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Después de 20 años recuerdo con mucho cariño y nostalgia las primeras piezas, eran acciones libres, arbitrarias, sin mayor intencionalidad que la de salir a pintar con tus amigos e ir completando ‘misiones’, ir descubriendo nuevos lugares, formas y estilos….
Eran momentos muy puros, sencillos y con mucha ilusión, muy diferente a la situación actual, que no siendo ni mejor ni peor, si es muy diferente a cuando empecé.
Las letras me tenían y tienen enamorado, para mi el pintar los primeros graffitis era todo un logro, y mas teniendo en cuenta que crecí en un pueblo donde todo llegar más tarde, con lo que conlleva eso.
Sinceramente guardo con mucho cariño esa época, volvería a vivirla si fuera posible.
After 20 years I remember with great affection and nostalgia the first pieces, they were free, arbitrary actions, with no greater intention than to go out and paint with your friends and complete ‘missions’, discovering new places, shapes and styles…..
They were very pure, simple moments, with a lot of illusion, very different from the current situation, which is neither better nor worse, but very different from when I started.
The letters had and still have me in love, for me to paint the first graffiti was a real achievement, and even more taking into account that I grew up in a town where everything came later, with all that that entails.
Sincerely I keep that time with great affection, I would live it again if it were possible.

Gracias por la oportunidad de esta entrevista y por pertenecer a la gran familia del ‘Rincon de las boquillas’, mucho respeto a todas las personas que pintan, que después de décadas siguen con ilusión al utilizar un bote de spray, a todos aquellos que lo hacen con cariño y respeto, a todas las personas que me he ido cruzando en el camino y a los buenos amigos y momentos que uno colecciona en su mente.
Larga viva al graffiti, al arte urbano y a toda expresión artística, en concreto a aquellas que su escenario es la calle, el espacio publico, por tener la oportunidad de mostrar nuestras inquietudes en los muros del mundo.
