¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Para comenzar a pintar en aquel entonces, mi amigo de la secundaria me dijo que tomara las letras que mas me gustaran, intenté con varias combinaciones, pero muchas ya eran usadas, quería salir y pintar cuanto antes así que en ese momento la combinación de letras: S I E K, me gustó mucho, no lo pensé tanto y es la que utilicé hasta ahora, sin más.
To start painting at that time, my high school friend told me to take the letters that I liked the most, I tried with several combinations, but many of them were already used, I wanted to go out and paint as soon as possible, so at that moment I liked the combination of letters: S I E K, I didn’t think so much about it and that’s the one I use until now, just like that.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Recuerdo haber leído nombres en la calle cuando era niño y cuando la gente se molestaba de que alguien vandalizara su propiedad con graffiti, ese podría ser mi primer antecedente con el graffiti, durante mi niñez me gustaba mucho dibujar dinosaurios y caricaturas, entonces cuando fui a la escuela secundaria y tuve la oportunidad de introducirme al graffiti, lo hice.
I remember reading names in the street when I was a kid and when people would get upset about someone vandalising their property with graffiti, that might be my first background with graffiti, growing up I really liked drawing dinosaurs and cartoons, then when I went to high school and had the opportunity to get into graffiti, I did it.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
No sé si pudiera definir o tener una casilla para lo que hago hablando de: Wildstyle, 3D y las demás maneras de etiquetar a los estilos, prefiero llamarlo mejor: My Own Type, me gusta jugar con la estética de mis letras influenciado de cosas que me gusta ver desde tipografías en logotipos, fotos de arquitectura, etc. o fenómenos que llaman mi atención, por ejemplo: la luminiscencia, los tonos fluorescentes.
I don’t know if I could define or have a box for what I do talking about: Wildstyle, 3D and the other ways of tag styles, I prefer to call it better: My Own Type, I like to play with the aesthetics of my letters influenced by things I like to see from typographies in logos, architecture photos, etc. or phenomena that catch my attention, for example: luminescence, fluorescent tones.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Si, en el 2007 Mi padre fue quien me acompañó a pintar bajo un puente de manera ilegal, lo hizó para cuidar que no fuera a pasarme nada malo y con la esperanza de que solo lo hiciera una vez para que después se me pasara la inquietud, pero eso no sucedió jajaja.
Hoy en día sigo pintando y mi preocupación es más estética por que hoy puedo disponer de más recursos y tiempo para pintar un muro que en comparación al principio que solo podía practicar sin permiso y con un par de aerosoles.
Con esto no quiero demeritar el pintar en la calle sin permiso, al contrario, para mi tiene un peso enorme y el día de hoy me encanta también poder hacer un Tag, un Throw up, o un Quick Piece en una avenida, pero mi trabajo está repartido en: 80% muros con permiso, 20% graffiti en la calle
El gusto que tengo por pintar creo que es el mismo o quizás mayor al que obtuve desde que hicé mis primeros bocetos y pintas así que por lo pronto no hay una fecha donde tenga planeado dejar de hacerlo.
La inquietud de seguir experimentando con formas, colores, elementos entorno a las letras de mi seudónimo siguen siendo el motor de continuar haciéndolo.
Yes, in 2007 my father was the one who accompanied me to paint under a bridge illegally, he did it to make sure that nothing bad would happen to me and with the hope that I would only do it once and then I would stop worrying, but that didn’t happen hahaha.
Nowadays I continue painting and my concern is more aesthetic because today I can have more resources and time to paint a wall than in comparison to the beginning when I could only practice without permission and with a couple of aerosols.
With this I don’t want to demerit painting in the street without permission, on the contrary, for me it has an enormous weight and nowadays I also love to be able to do a Tag, a Throw up, or a Quick Piece in an avenue, but my work is divided in: 80% walls with permission, 20% graffiti in the street.
The pleasure I have for painting I think is the same or maybe even more than the one I got since I did my first sketches and paintings, so for now there is no date where I plan to stop doing it.
The restlessness to continue experimenting with shapes, colours, elements around the letters of my pseudonym are still the driving force to continue doing it.
