¿Por que es tu tag Sker?
Why is your tag Sker?
Escribí un par de nombres similares cuando empecé, pero me quedé bastante pegado a estas letras. Siempre me ha gustado la letra S y supongo que me gusta el equilibrio general de las formas de las letras.
I wrote a couple of similar names back when I started but pretty much got stuck to these letters. I always loved the letter S and I guess I just like(d) the overall balance of the letters’ shapes.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Historia clásica: un amigo de unos amigos lo hizo, así que pensamos que era genial y lo probamos también. A partir de ahí, probablemente ha sido una mezcla de amistades, de autoexpresión, de sacar mi nombre a la luz y hacer algo fuera de la red.
Classic story: a friend of some friends did it, so we thought it was cool and tried it as well. From that point on it’s probably been a mixture of friendships, self-expression, getting my name out there and do something off the grid.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
No estoy seguro de poder decir que mis estilos y letras tienen un cierto mensaje. Si tuviera que elegir algo, sería algo como «sigue siendo funky».
I’m not sure I can really say that my styles and letters have a certain message. If I’d need to choose something, it would be something like “stay funky”.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Mi toque de escritura de estilo clásico, diría yo. Letras, flechas, conexiones y me gusta mucho subir y jugar con los colores. Además, como yo lo llamo, la «Koblenzer Schule» me hizo pintar bastante limpio, eso es con lo que crecimos.
My touch of classic stylewriting I’d say. Letters, arrows, connections and I really like to come up and play with colors. Plus as I call it the “Koblenzer Schule” made me paint pretty clean, that’s what we grew up with.

Me sorprendió mucho la petición y me siento muy halagado! Digámoslo como es, todos estamos felices si nuestras cosas, piezas, etc. se publican. Además, hojeando su sitio web, ¡maldita sea, esta es una gran lista de escritores de primera categoría!
I was super surprised by the request and I’m really flattered! Let’s say it as it is, we’re all happy if our stuff, pieces, etc. is published. Plus, scrolling through your website, damn, this is quite a list of top notch writers!
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Debió ser en 1998 o 1999 y ocurrió en una vieja gasolinera donde los escritores locales de la generación anterior a nosotros lograron organizar algunos muros antes de que fuera demolida. Condujimos allí en bicicleta todos los días durante 2 semanas, revisando nuevas piezas, tags, analizando todo, buscando latas y boquillas que todavía funcionan. Uno de estos días me junté las pelotas y pensé que también podría pintar una «pieza». Fue genial verlo en la pared junto a las piezas de los otros chicos de allí. Esta es una de las historias que me vienen a la cabeza si pienso en los primeros comienzos, pero por supuesto hay muchas otras «primicias».
Must have been 1998 or 1999 and happened at an old gas station where the local writers of the generation before us managed to organize some walls before it got demolished. We drove there by bike everyday for 2 weeks, checking new pieces, tags, analyzing everything, looking for cans and caps that still work. One of these days I got my balls together and thought I could also paint a “piece”. It was dope to see it one the wall next to the pieces of those other guys there. This is one of the stories that come up in my head if I think back about the early beginnings but of course there’s a lot of other “firsts”.
¿Qué es lo qué más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?
What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?
De alguna manera todavía la mezcla que inicialmente me hizo empezar y seguirla. Sacar mi nombre a la luz, ser reconocido de alguna manera por otros escritores. Hacer algo además del trabajo y la vida en el que pueda perderme completamente, sin pensar en mierdas que me estresen o que me jodan la mente. Pasar un buen rato y reírme mucho. Amistades. Hacer conexiones. Disfrutar de ello.
Somehow still the mixture which initially made me start and follow it. Getting my name out there, being somehow recognized by other writers. Do something beside work & life where I can fully get lost in, not thinking about shit that stresses me or fucks up my mind. Spend a hell of a good time and laugh a lot. Friendships. Making connections. Enjoying it.
