Where does your pseudonym come from?
He estado pintando bajo el apodo de Sugar durante 11 años (igual más tiempo). Quería una palabra que estuviera bien y que no tuviera asociado nada malo, así que esto me representa como persona.
Ive been going under the pseudonym “Sugar” for about 11 years now (maybe longer), I wanted a nice word that didn’t have any sort of bad stigma to it, which i think can relate to me as a person.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Mis colegas en el instituto eran escritores así que me metieron en esto y me enseñaron a pillar un spray y me flipó, así que intente mejorar como un reto y diversión.
From my mates out of high school who were writers that got me into it and Seeing what can be accomplished with a spray can has always amazed me, so trying to progress myself with that is always a fun challenge.

What is your style?
Mi estilo es una mezcla de Flora y fauna con elementos de graffiti en un estilo mas surreal y real.
My style is a mix of Flora/Fauna/Graffiti elements in a representational Surreal/realistic aesthetic.

Do you remember the first piece?
Sí, recuerdo mi primera pieza hice un personaje probablemente en 2009/2010 en Power House en Perth, WA, Australia. Accidentalmente lo pinté al menos 3 veces más grande, necesitaba que algunos amigos me ayudaran a subirme sobre sus hombros para pintar la parte superior de la cabeza, todavía tengo una foto jaja, fue una pieza horrible, por supuesto, aunque todavía me encanta. .
Yes, i remember my first character piece i painted probably back in 2009/2010 down at the Power house in Perth, WA, Australia. I accidentally painted it at least 3 times too big, needing some friends to help me stand on their shoulders to paint the top of the head, i still have a photo of it haha – it was a horrible piece of course though i still love it.
