¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Empezó como una protesta sucia, pintando VOID en cosas que no me gustaban. El ‘One’ es tan solo una cosa del graffiti, solo puede haber un solo escritor con ese tag. Soy un friky de la ciencia, así que todo este tema de la dualidad y de la dimensión me apasiona.
It started out as a bit of a dirty protest, writing VOID on things I didn’t like. Adding the ‘One’ was just a graff thing to begin with, there can be only one! But I’m also a science nerd, so the whole duality thing just added an extra dimension to it.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
TDAH. Esto del graffiti fue la única cosa que hizo que parara mi cerebro de ir a miles de kilómetros por hora! haha me involucré dandole al bombing cuando era joven, pero me puse a crear música durante 15 años más o menos. Solo volví a hacerlo correctamente en el año 2016 cuando empecé a producir fragmentos de carácter gráfico y quería transmitir en ellos un estilo que había desarrollado digitalmente en las paredes. No he hecho música desde entonces.
ADHD. It was the only thing that stopped my brain from racing at 1000000 miles an hour! Haha I dabbled a bit with bombing and stuff in my teens but moved on to raving and making music for 15 or so years. I only came back to it properly in about 2016. I’d still been producing bits of graphics work and wanted to try transfer the style i’d developed digitally onto walls. I haven’t made any music since!

What is your style?
Yo no diría mucho aquí, ya que me gusta pintar y lo que tu ves es el resultado. No me gusta dictaminar mi estilo a algo. El trabajo tiene que hablar por si solo. Siempre me ha flipado el 3D y la técnica del dibujo así que fue natural ir a esa dirección. es mas un enfoque futurista! y obviamente influencias por gente como Daim, Totem, Rate, Mesin, Edmun, porque ellos son la inspiración de todo esto en mi opinión. hay muchos más escritores que mencionaría por lo que no esta bien mencionar a unos pocos ya que me dejaría a muchisimos otros.
I wouldn’t want to say too much here, I just like painting and what you see is the result. I don’t like to be too prescriptive, the work should speak for itself. I’ve always loved 3D and technical drawing so it was natural I’d go in that direction. It just looks more futuristic! I’m obviously influenced by the likes of Daim, Totem, Rate, Mesin, Edmun, cause they all set the benchmark in their own way in my opinion. There’s just too many sick writers to mention, but it wouldn’t be right not to mention a few.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Nos mudamos a Leicester sobre el 98, cuando volvía del colegio, pasaba mucho rato viendo trenes plagados de graffiti, no conocía a nadie que pintara en Leicester en aquel entonces así que empecé a dejarme caer en acequias donde me puse a pintar mis primeras movidas. Me gustaba ir en bici o caminar bastante durante la noche para conocer el entorno. Por la antigua estacion de tren que atraviesa la ciudad había buenas movidas también en el puente de hierro donde pasábamos había bastantes piezones, allí es donde fue a pintar mi primera pieza a color, todavía tengo ese boceto jaja fue horrible.
We moved to Leicester in about 1998 but I was still going to college back home. I spent a lot of time on the trains looking at the graff, and since I didn’t really know anyone in Leicester at the time I started dipping out onto the canals to drop some of my first dubs. We moved a lot, and i always used to like walking and cycling around at night getting to know the landscape.They have this old abandoned railway line that runs through the city that you can walk along as a public path now. There used to be this huge old section of iron bridge that you could walk over and there was always loads of graff up there, so that was where I went to paint my first full colour piece. I still have the sketch! haha it was terrible…

MAD 3D, saludos a Casem y Wuzie!. Todo el mundo que siempre dicen que parecemos chalados! cuando ellos caminan y pasan por las movidas de 3D y solo les viene esa palabra en la cabeza.SV1 también esta mi corazón. Amor para Switch!.
MAD 3D – Shouts to Casem, Onyk and Wuzie! Everyone always says ‘that looks mad’ when they walk past the 3D stuff, so it just became a thing. SV1’s where my heart’s at. Big love to Switch!
