¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Mis amigos comenzaron a firmar y tenían un libro llamado Subway art que lo petaba … jajaja, vi todos los colores y personajes y quería pintar con pintura en bote. Fue tan rebelde … nadie lo entendía en ese momento .. En 1987 es cuando empecé pero no escribí VYAL hasta 1990 …
My friends started to tag and they had a book called Subway art that they would bite… lol I saw all the colors and characters and wanted to paint with spray paint!! It was so rebellious… nobody understood it at the time.. 1987 is when I started but didn’t write VYAL till 1990 …

What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Solo para divertirse y ser libre … olvídate de la vida robótica cotidiana … tómate el tiempo para practicar siempre tus estilos a mano alzada o en bocetos … pinta todos los días si puedes …
Just to have fun and be free … forget everyday robotic life … take time to always practice your hand styles or sketch … paint everyday if you can…

What is your style?
Creo que tengo un estilo psicodélico oscuro … Intento diseccionar cosas … Me gusta caer en mis piezas o escapar a través de ellas … como un agujero de gusano o un portal a otra dimensión.
I think I have a dark psychedelic style … I try to dissect things … I like to fall into my pieces or escape thru them… like a worm hole or a portal to another dimension.
¿Te importaria contarnos como es un día normal durante la semana?
Would you mind telling us how is your normal day during the week?
Intento despertarme temprano, pero siempre fallo jajaja … mucho café y música para que fluya la sangre … luego algo de tiempo de estudio para trabajar en pinturas o trabajos … y, a veces, todavía pinto por diversión. .. Tengo amigos con muchas paredes por pintar en estos días, así que me invitan a pintar … Atlas especialmente … él tiene todo un vecindario que está petado.
I try to wake up early but always fail lol …. lots of coffee and music to get the blood going … then some studio time to work on paintings or jobs… and sometimes I still get to paint for fun … I have friends with lots of walls these days so they invite me to paint … Atlas especially … he has a whole neighborhood he’s painting.

Where would you like to paint?
Me gustaría viajar a Noruega, Islandia, Japón … hay tantos lugares hermosos donde el graffiti no es necesario pero algunas áreas lo necesitan …
I would like to travel to Norway, Iceland, Japan… there’s so many beautiful places where graffiti is not necessary but some areas need it …
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?
What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?
El medio … SPRAY PINTURA !!! lol Me encanta … Creo que el graffiti es tan grande y abierto … No puedo creerlo cuando las personas tienen una mentalidad cercana a los estilos o las ideas … Yo mismo soy un purista y sigo creyendo en CAN CONTROL y no uso cinta o proyectores … pero también puedo ver cómo este pensamiento puede limitar a alguien, así que trato de aceptar esas ideas para convertirme en mejor artista y me doy cuenta de que puedo ser terco y «de la vieja escuela» y, a veces, ese tipo de pensamiento puede sostenerte atrás … jaja
The medium … SPRAY PAINT!!! lol I love it … I think graffiti is so big and open … I can’t believe it when people are close minded to styles or ideas … I myself am a purist and still believe in CAN CONTROL and not using tape or projectors … but I can also see how this thinking can limit someone so I try and accept those ideas to become a better artists and realize that I can be stubborn and “old school” and sometimes that kind of thinking can hold you back … lol

What is your crew?
Soy de algunas crews a día de hoy … COI es mi primera crew … pero también represento a K2S y LOD, que es un honor ser parte de esas legendarias crews … CAB, y PRIME también son de ambos Esas crews … son leyendas !! ¡También soy de X-MEN de Nueva York con KEO! y 90Dbc de Francia!
I am from a few crews these days … COI is my first crew… but I also represent K2S and LOD which is an honor to be from both of those legendary crews … CAB, and PRIME are also from both of those crews … they are legends !! I am also from X-MEN from New York with KEO!! and 90Dbc from France!
