¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonyme come from?
Lo cierto es que no hay una gran historia detrás de mi tag, fui probando hasta dar con uno que me gustara y con letras que dieran juego a la hora de los wildstyles, tuve como 3 o 4 nombres antes que Yeko pero me duraron poco tiempo.
Al poco tiempo también empecé a poner Yeko Yekill en algunas obras, en referencia a la novela “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde”, me gusta por la sonoridad y el sentido de la doble personalidad.
The truth is that there is not a great story behind my tag, I was trying until I found one that I liked and with letters that matched the time of the wildstyles, I had like 3 or 4 names before Yeko but they lasted a short time.
After a short time I also started to put Yeko Yekill in some works, in reference to the novel «Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde», I like it because of the sound and the sense of the double personality.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
A mi me ha gustado dibujar desde siempre y en el barrio donde he crecido había mucho graffiti, así que desde muy joven los muros captaron mi atención. Yo creo que lo que me cautivó definitivamente fue el hecho de descubrir los murales de mi pueblo (Orihuela) las producciones de la Vergüenza Ajena crew, los muñecos de Mr.Chapu, las letras de Juan2, las piezas en 3D de Sealtres con personajes de Firebirth…. en fin, mucha calidad en una ciudad muy pequeña.
I’ve always liked drawing and the neighborhood where I grew up had a lot of graffiti, so from a young age the walls caught my attention. I think what definitely captivated me was the fact of discovering the murals of my town (Orihuela), the productions of the Shame of Others crew, the dolls of Mr.Chapu, the letters of Juan2, the 3D pieces of Sealtres with characters from Firebirth… in short, a lot of quality in a very small town.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus obras?
What do you try to say with your artworks?
Generalmente mis muros no tienen un trasfondo con mensaje, cuando no hago letras suelo hacer personajes y entornos de fantasy-art, ese es el estilo artístico que más me motiva, pero me gusta que tengan una lectura sencilla y entendible. A veces según la temática del muro también toca cambiar y hacer algo más estilo ciencia ficción o graffiti old school.
Generally my walls don’t have a background with a message, when I don’t do letters I usually make characters and environments of fantasy-art, that’s the artistic style that motivates me the most, but I like that they have a simple and understandable reading. Sometimes, depending on the theme of the wall, I also have to change and do something more science fiction or old school graffiti style.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
En las letras es wildstyle, y en los dibujos fantasy-art, este género suele estar ligado a la ilustración donde también se le conoce como “imaginative realism”, es decir, plasmar algo que no existe con aspecto realista (Se intenta al menos). Voy compaginando letras y dibujos, intento que el contador esté equilibrado.
In letters it is wildstyle, and in the fantasy art drawings, this genre is usually linked to illustration where it is also known as «imaginative realism», that is to say, to capture something that does not exist with a realistic aspect (At least it is tried). I combine letters and drawings, I try to make the counter balanced.

Me parece genial todo lo que tenga que ver con la difusión de los artistas, además aprendes cosas sobre la visión del autor que te hacen comprender mejor su obra.
I think it’s great everything that has to do with the diffusion of artists, besides you learn things about the author’s vision that make you understand his work better.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Me acuerdo perfectamente, al parecer daba mucho el coñazo en casa con que quería pintar graffiti, así que con 10 años mi padre me llevó a un muro en la parte trasera de la fábrica de mi tio, había comprado 4 o 5 sprays de un bazar chino, de los que llevan esa especie de boquilla NY FAT, yo no podía casi ni apretarle y me ayudó mi padre con más de la mitad de la pieza y el resto… es historia.
I remember perfectly, it seems that I was a bore when i was child due to i wanted to paint graffiti, so when I was 10 years old my father took me to a wall in the back of my uncle’s factory, he had bought 4 or 5 sprays from a Chinese bazaar, the ones with that kind of NY FAT cap, I couldn’t even squeeze it and my father helped me with more than half of the piece and the rest… is history.

What is your crew?
The Minds of the Art crew o MND, (es un dúo realmente) somos mi colega Satne y yo, surgió en 1º de la ESO cuando le conocí, hicimos una exposición de cuadros en el propio colegio con el mismo nombre y decidimos dejarlo también para la crew, fue de las primeras personas con las que me junté a pintar y siempre nos salen ideas locas para los muros, el año que viene será el 10º aniversario.
También estoy en KRF, es un grupo con gente joven (como yo) de mi ciudad y de mi pueblo, la nueva generación de Valencia, nos gusta quedar algunos fines de semana y hacer muros de pachanga. Son Gramos, Herer, Opio, Benz, Rot y Diego Sueño.
The Minds of the Art crew or MND, (it’s a duo really) we are my friends Satne and me, he came up in 1st of High school when I met him, we did an exhibition of paintings in the school itself with the same name and we decided to leave it for the crew too, he was one of the first people I got together with to paint and we always get crazy ideas for the walls, next year will be the 10th anniversary.
I’m also in KRF, it’s a group with young people (like me) from my city and my town, the new generation from Valencia, we like to stay some weekends and make just for fun walls. They are Gramos, Herer, Opio, Benz, Rot and Diego Sueño.

A finales de 2020 o principios de 2021 espero poder empezar a mostrar obra de estudio, algo en lo que he estado trabajando los últimos años, estad atentos!
