¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Comenzó como Ziel, el nombre me lo pusieron Kenor y Yowin de Rosa Rosario. Una vez me dediqué a la música (rap) me quede como Ziel como MC y aproveché OREJAS, como nuevo tag ya que a la vista esta el porque… jajaja
It started as Ziel, the name was given to me by Kenor and Yowin from the Spanish rap group ‘Rosa Rosario’. Once I dedicated myself to music (rap) I stayed as Ziel as MC and I used OREJAS, as a new tag, because it’s clear why… hahaha.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Pues comencé a firmar en la pista del parque donde me crie de chaval con 11 o 12 años, íbamos al viejo a por rotuladores y fue algo que me llamó la atención por gamberreo o poner tu nombre por la calle sin mas, no recuerdo nada que me motivara, solo lo hice.
Well, I started tagging at the track in the park where I grew up as a kid when I was 11 or 12 years old, we used to go to the old man to get markers and it was something that caught my attention because I was a bomber or just put your name on the street, I don’t remember anything that motivated me, I just did it.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Mi estilo viene muy marcado por peña que me flipa de Los Angeles concretamente de los MSK, esa peña abrió en mi cabeza una movida que me flipó desde que lo vi. Tengo escuela de varios escritores que me flipan, no solo de los Angeles, sino también europeos. Siempre busco movidas que me gustan para darle un plus a mis piezas y tags. Tengo una memoria fotográfica que refleja mucho lo que me gusta y admiro.
My style is very much influenced by people I like from Los Angeles, specifically the MSKs, who opened up a movement in my head that I’ve been crazy about since I saw it. I have a school of various writers that I love, not only from Los Angeles, but also from Europe. I’m always looking for moves that I like to give my pieces and tags an extra touch. I have a photographic memory that reflects a lot of what I like and admire.

Me parece genial, dar visibilidad a escritores a través de una red social, que es lo que mas se consume ahora es importante para nuevas generaciones. Que esta peña tenga en su mano lo que nosotros buscábamos en videoclips de rap, fanzines y películas de graffiti me parece genial.
I think it’s great, giving visibility to writers through a social network, which is what is most consumed now is important for new generations. That these people have in their hands what we were looking for in rap video clips, fanzines and graffiti films is great.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera pieza, si se puede llamar así, fue una calavera que me gustaba mucho dibujar. Compre un mega plata un negro para trazarla y un azul eléctrico para el powerline. Fue en un muro de Cornellà detrás de unos arbustos, fui con mis colegas a por esa pintura al salir del instituto y fue una tarde de viernes. Con lo que sobró fuimos a bombardear los alrededores, fue divertido quizá por eso sigo haciendo esto.
My first piece, if you can call it that, was a skull that I really liked to draw. I bought a mega silver, a black to draw it and an electric blue for the powerline. It was on a wall in Cornellà behind some bushes, I went with my friends to get the painting after school and it was a Friday afternoon. With what was left over we went to bomb the surrounding area, it was fun, maybe that’s why I still do this.

Quiero decir que respeten a sus abuelas y abuelos a madres y padres, que respeten la cultura del Hip Hop y que se respeten a uno mismo, vida solo hay una y el tiempo no para. “Siempre tienes tiempo pero nunca sabes cuanto” Amor a mis CRIME.
I want to say respect your grandmothers and grandfathers to mothers and fathers, respect the Hip Hop culture and respect yourself, there is only one life and time does not stop. ‘You always have time but you never know how much’ Love to my CRIME.
