¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Es un apodo que he tenido desde hace mucho tiempo, desde que tenía 12 años y se convirtió en mi apodo online y cuando empecé a pintar sólo tenía sentido seguir con él.
Se suponía que iba a ser melocotón, pero ya estaba cogido, ¡así que melocotónzz! Ahora le tengo mucho cariño. El apodo me ha acompañado durante más de media vida.
It’s a nickname I have had for a very long time since I was 12 and it became my online pseudonym and when I started painting It just made sense to keep rolling with it.
It was supposed to be peaches but that was taken so peachzz it is! I’m very attached to it now. The nickname has come with me for over half my life.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Siempre me asombró la gente que pintaba con spray pero, sinceramente, nunca pensé que fuera algo posible para mí.
Conseguí mis primeras latas cuando tenía 18 años, pero no las utilice y acumularon polvo hasta que tenía 21 años, fue entonces cuando un grupo de amigos míos me invitaron a pintar.
Éramos 6 amigos nuevos con la pintura en aerosol tratando de ver como se usaban esos botes, tuvimos suerte como Sheffield donde yo vivo tenía un montón de almacenes abandonados post industriales para explorar.
Era un parque de atracciones para artistas callejeros. Había cervecerías abandonadas y fábricas de tintes. Era mágico. Llegamos a pintar dos o tres veces por semana. Eran aventuras increíbles.
I was always in awe of people who spray painted but honestly I never really thought it was something that was even possible for me!
I got my first cans when I was 18 but they sat and gathered dust until I was 21, it was around then when a group of friends of mine invited me to paint.
There were 6 of us all brand new to spray painting trying to figure it out, we were lucky as Sheffield where I live had a ton of post industrial abandoned warehouses to explore.
It was a fairground for street artists! There were abandoned brewery buildings and dye factories. It was magical. We ended up painting 2-3 times a week at one stage. They were amazing adventures.

What is your style?
Siempre me ha resultado difícil definir mi estilo. Creo que cambia sutilmente con el tiempo.
Diría que tiene elementos de realismo, es saturado y expresivo en algunos momentos. Me gusta mucho contar historias y conectar con el entorno en el que pinto.
I’ve always found it hard to pinpoint my style. I feel like it changes subtly over time.
I’d say it has elements of realism, it’s saturated and expressive at points. I really enjoy storytelling and connecting with the environment where I’m painting.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera obra fue hace unos 10 años. Mi estilo se basaba más en los personajes, era muy caricaturesco con animales espeluznantes que acechaban en los edificios que pintábamos.
Recuerdo que estaba muy emocionada por poder probar por fin a pintar con spray, pero también me frustraba no conseguirlo del todo, jaja.
Se convirtió en una obsesión interminable, pero siempre hay algo que aprender.
My first piece was about 10 years ago. My style was more character based then, it was very cartoony with creepy looking animals that lurked in the buildings that we painted.
I remember feeling so excited being able to finally try spray painting but off course mixed with frustration that I didn’t quite get it haha.
It turned into a never ending obsession to get right but off course there is always something to learn!
