Solía escribir Rascal cuando empecé, por lo que me di cuenta de que pintar como Rask era mas fácil obviamente.
I used to write rascal when i first started, then became easier to just Paint Rask for obvious reasons
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Bien empecé cuando el movimiento entero del Hip Hop alcanzó nuestra pequeña ciudad alrededor de los años 1983-1984.
Iba a las batallas locales de breakdance y deseaba poder participar. Afortunadamente era mejor en el dibujo que bailando jaja, por lo que parecía natural seguir la ruta del artista de graffiti. Sólo quería ser la leche como Ramo en Beat Street jaja.
Well it started for me when the whole Hip Hop movement reached our small town around 1983-1984.
Going to the local breakdance battles and wishing i could be involved. Fortunately i was better at drawing than i was dancing haha, so it seemed natural to follow the graffiti artist route. I just wanted to be cool like Ramo in Beat Street haha.

What is your style?
No estoy seguro de que pueda clasificarlo yo mismo, tal vez otros puedan hacerlo.
Me gusta probar algo diferente cada vez que pinto para que me permita cambiar de pieza a pieza dependiendo de con quién pinto y dónde.
Personalmente, me gusta que mis piezas sean afiladas y limpias. A menos que obviamente sea sólo una cosa rápida.
I’m not sure i can categorise it myself, maybe others can for me.
I like to try something different each time i paint so it may change from piece to piece dependent on who i Paint with and where.
I personally like my pieces to be Sharp and clean. Unless obviously it’s just a quick thing.
¿Te importaria contarnos como es un día normal durante tu semana?
Would you mind telling us how is your normal day during the week?
Una semana normal de Lunes a viernes voy a trabajar muchas horas y por tarde noche paso tiempo con mi familia.
Standard Monday to Friday, go to work to many hours, spend evenings with my family.

Todo es bueno, me gusta la página web, y el hecho de que se pueda usar Internet para ver el trabajo de escritores de graffiti de todo el mundo es genial. También El hecho de que haya tantos escritores por ahí me siento humilde de ser entrevistado, así que gracias.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Jaja, sí lo recuerdo bien, a mediados de los años ochenta tenía 3 botes de pintura de coche, azul, rojo y blanco. Pinté una pieza que ponía LEGS, que la sujetaban dos manos, unos ojos grandes mirando por encima y un par de zapatillas con gruesos cordones. Ni siquiera rellené las letras, pero puse le brillos.
Haha, Yes i remember it well, mid-eighties I had 3 cans of car Paint, blue, red and White. I painted a piece that said LEGS, held by two hands, big eyes peering over the top and a pair of trainers with thick laces. I didn’t even fill the letters but put highlights on.

Where would you like to paint?
Nada en específico, pero me gustaría ser mucho más internacional.
Supongo que pensar en ello seria en Nueva York, un lugar que tiene que estar en la lista. España me gusta (tal vez Zaragoza), si me invitas a visitarte unos días.
No where specific, but would like to be a lot more international.
I suppose thinking about it New York has to be on the list. Spain i like (maybe Zaragoza), if your offering to put us up for a few days.
¿Puedes hablarnos del graffiti en tu ciudad?
Can you talk us about the graffiti in your city?
Vivo a las afueras de la ciudad, en un pueblo pequeño, pero en Birmingham hay gran escena con algunos escritores jovenes asombrosos y viejas leyendas. Diferentes crews se reúnen y pintan. Tenemos algunos grandes lugares y Salones de la Fama. La ciudad de Leicester esta bastante cerca y también es referente como una gran ciudad que pasan cosas al minuto, principalmente en la tienda local de allí GRAFF HQ
I live just out of the city in a small town, but Birmingham as a great scene with some amazing Young writers and old school legends. Different crews will get together and Paint its all cool. We have some great spots and HOFs. Leicester city is pretty close and also as a great things going on at the minute, mainly down to the local shop there GRAFF HQ.

What are your favorite writers?
Me gustan muchos escritores por diferentes razones, Además respeto a todos los escritores, Pero si tengo que nombrar a los que lo petan, Sin ningún orden en particular, Internacionalmente – Wet, Mar, Mobar, Omsk, Atom, Hombre y en Reino Unido – Ziner, Kak, Tizer, Aroe, Gent, Vodker, Ekto, Jasik y los tíos de la crew de BTK, muchos más que podría enumerar y probablemente me quedaría hasta tarde haciendolo.
I like many writers for different reasons, I respect all writers whether there painting legal walls, bombing or painting panels, But if i have to name drop, In no particular order, International -Swet, Tues, Mobar,Omsk, Atom,Hombre and UK – Ziner,Kak, Tizer,Aroe, Gent, Vodker, Ekto, Jasik and the boys from BTK crew, so many more i could list and will probably wish i had later.

What is your real job?
No, no me gano la vida haciendo graffiti, tengo una empresa de diseño y producción para marcas de vehículos.
No I don’t make a living doing graffiti, i have a sign business designing and producing vehicle branding.

En primer lugar gracias a mi esposa y mis niñas por apoyarme continuamente cuando pinto graffiti, por dejarme gastar dinero en pintura y no cuestionar lo que hago. Gracias a mi crew.
Sólo me gustaría decir un enorme gracias a todos los que les gusta lo que hago. No puedo terminar sin dar un agradecimiento a los chicos con los que pinto cada semana Vomet y Deva, que me aguantan desde el primer día jaja. Deva me sacó a pintar de nuevo y Vomet continuamente me ayuda para seguir adelante. Echales un ojo a los dos. @Vomet.nfa @dfased
