¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Es el resultado de meter un montón de palabras en un sombrero y elegir dos. Salió «Technicolour Moon», que sonaba muy bien, y al final se acortó a «Tech Moon».
It is come from putting a load of different words into a hat and picking out two. ‘Technicolour Moon’ came out which sounded great, and that eventually got shortened to ‘Tech Moon’.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Siempre me ha gustado dibujar y pintar, pero creo que mis primeros recuerdos de graffitis y arte callejero son de España. Solíamos ir de vacaciones en familia todos los años y conducir por gran parte del país, lugares como Barcelona y Madrid tenían un montón de estas enormes pinturas de colores (no había ninguna en Cornualles, donde crecí) y me dejaron alucinado. Más tarde acabé licenciándome en Ilustración y uno de mis primeros encargos fue un mural, que me encantó, así que seguí adelante.
I’ve always loved drawing and painting but I think my earliest memories of graffiti/street art are from Spain. We used to go on family holidays every year and drive through a lot of the country, places like Barcelona and Madrid had loads of these huge colourful paintings (there weren’t any in Cornwall, where I grew up) and they blew my mind. Later on I eventually ended getting a degree in Illustration and one of my first commissions was a mural, which I loved doing so just kept on going from there.

What is your style?
Pinto realismo y me encanta mezclar el arte clásico con el arte callejero moderno. La naturaleza siempre ha sido una gran fuente de inspiración para mí.
I paint realism and love mixing classical art with modern street art. Lots of ornamental framework which gives my pieces structure and helps draw they eye, and nature has always been a big inspiration to me.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Sí, mi primera obra fue un graffiti con letras en un skatepark de Cornualles cuando tenía 17 años. Un amigo me animó a que cogiera un poco de pintura y lo intentara, me encantó. He progresado mucho desde entonces y he evolucionado más hacia las imágenes que hacia las letras. Me alegro de haber empezado a jugar con la pintura en spray desde muy joven, es una herramienta complicada pero muy versátil con la que se pueden hacer muchas cosas.
Yeah, my first piece was graffiti lettering in a skatepark in Cornwall when I was about 17, my friend encouraged my to grab some paint and give it a go, I absolutely loved it. It is progressed a lot since then and Ive certainly evolved more to imagery rather than lettering. Im glad I started playing about with spray paint young, its a tricky but really versatile tool that you can do so much with.
